@AvantiWestCoast could you please pay your staff better so that I (and the rest of the country) can catch a train that’s not cancelled and vaguely on time, please and thanks.
@AvantiWestCoast@AvantiWestCoast we’re looking at our return journey from London this weekend after the womens six nations but the train schedule has changed - what’s going on the west coast mainline this weekend? Why do you have to change 3 or 4 times and take 2 hours to get back up north?
@Natures_Voice When I got back to rural Lancashire from Manchester at 5pm yesterday, each shrub in the hedgerow had a different songbird calling from the top. It went songthrush - Robin - blackbird - chaffinch - Robin - song thrush. Had to stop and listen for a bit! Spring is here

Visiting my dad in Brunei (#Borneo) and I had forgotten how bright the #butterflies are! Here’s a ‘Colonel’ Pandita sinope (I think) hanging out in the garden
@BritishSpiders this is the 4th species of spider in our little 6m square office at work (after a house spider, some cellar spiders and my fave a jumping spider) - it lives by the window, is it a garden spider that’s made it’s way inside?
@BritishSpiders thought I was in Australia for a minute when I saw this whopper of a house spider on the wall! I usually leave them be but I’m afraid this guy was just a bit too big and too mobile so it’s been relocated to the garage 🕷do they get much bigger than this? (3”)
@northernassist How can we contact the team if they hang up on us? She’s just been hung up on again, the bag has her medicine and clothes in it’s important she gets it back as we are in quite a remote location
@BritishSpiders WHAT are these spiders doing, they look possessed! 👻 I watched them when they stopped and they don’t have egg sacks, and it’s very much them doing the spinning. (Please ignore the damp wall, there is a tricky roof leek in our outhouse).
@TimWorfolk Would also look better if they were on the same place on every bird and if the second title was in line with the top of the adult female head and in-line vertically with the first title. Will make it look neater and easier to find
@TimWorfolk You could spice it up a bit and angle the labels diagonally so that they match the incline of the shrikes back, would slow the labels to be right next to the image but would be more aesthetically pleasing
