Yes, we are quadrupling down on crypto
ready to back the next generation of founders who will catapult crypto into a $10 trillion asset class and beyond
.@salus_ai is building runtime guardrails to validate your AI agent’s actions before they execute.
By adding their API to your codebase, incorrect actions are automatically blocked and your agent receives actionable feedback to self-correct.
Congrats @thevedants1 and @pankev18 on the launch!

We started Lux in 2000 with a simple conviction: the biggest opportunities lie at the frontier of science and technology that others find too hard, too early, or too confusing. Twenty-five years later, that conviction hasn't changed. What has changed is that the world has caught on.
Now compute, automation, and biology have matured into scalable engineering disciplines, and what was once fringe "deep tech" has become essential infrastructure. New talent, new tools, and new industrial capacity now exist to turn the most cutting-edge technology across the physical, computational, and life sciences into enduring businesses.
For these businesses and founders to become category-defining winners, they need meaningful capital and conviction. That is why we are especially excited to announce our largest fund to date, Lux Ventures IX, a $1.5B commitment to investing in the people turning sci-fi into sci-fact.
Today entire sectors of aerospace, biotech, defense, industrials, transportation and beyond are being reinvented by a new generation of brilliantly ambitious, often irreverent, scientists and engineers. And while markets have changed and capital reshapes around fewer companies and larger checks, our focus on the craft remains constant.
That focus matters because science doesn’t scale itself. The path from a result in the lab, only known to a few, to something durable the entire world will use requires a different kind of partnership. One that deploys the first $100K and the last $100M, that stays through the full arc of company-building, that mobilizes a powerful network of kinetic like-minded founders, and that treats capital as a tool rather than the product.
Forty-four people at Lux now manage $7B, still operating with the same discipline and purpose we had on day one. We find and fund founders others have overlooked, back conviction over consensus, and build alongside these rebels of science and tech at every stage.
We’re grateful to our valued LPs who've partnered with us through multiple cycles, and to the founders who trust us with their life's work. The mission continues, with even greater intensity and momentum.

Life update: I’ve decided to take some time off from Stanford.
I've seen a lot of these "dropping out of college" posts, but I never thought I’d write one myself. To be completely honest, I never seriously considered taking a leave or dropping out. Interning at @modal this past summer changed my plans.
People often talk about @modal's talent density, but working within it gave me a whole new perspective on what “exceptional” looks like in engineering, product, design, GTM, and most importantly, in company culture. I wanted to keep learning in this environment, especially now. Over just a few months interning at @modal this summer, I saw Lovable create 1M+ sandboxes on @modal, the launch of Modal SDK 1.0, GPU Performance Glossary, GPU Memory Snapshots, multi-node training clusters, @modal Notebooks, and so much more.
I felt this was the moment to join and build the infrastructure for the entire AI/ML lifecycle, the way it should be. So I'm excited to share that I'm starting full-time at @modal today, alongside the announcement of @modal's Series B!
It was a tough choice to step away from Stanford, even for a little while, but I’m excited to continue learning and growing with this team. If you're a student who want to work with incredible engineers, be part of a truly welcoming culture, and join in on karaoke or goat-petting events, or if you’re unsure about taking time off, I’d be happy to share my experience!
Today, we’re announcing Fulcrum Research, a startup scaling human oversight.
We are building debuggers that tell you why your agents fail, and what your rewards are truly testing for—the first step toward the inference-time infrastructure required to safely deploy agents.
hey friends, it's been a while. a personal update:
i've stepped away from dragonfly to start a new company, Manifest
we're building a new primitive at the app layer that i've been quietly obsessed with for many months. if you're an engineer and interested in zero to one journeys, let's chat
deeply grateful for my time at dragonfly. a group of incredible people that collectively accelerates how you think about the world. if you're lucky like myself and get the opportunity to work with @tomhschmidt, take it
this is the very beginning, follow along at @manifestios
Seven years ago, Robot Ventures started as one person’s hobby.
Today, we’re proud to announce that we’re an upgraded and expanded team of five, and we’re more ready than ever to back the most interesting founders in crypto.
