For the nth time, E. coli isn't the spokesperson for all bacteria. Please call it by its name! And yes, it annoys me when papers get lazy.

Excited to share our latest publication on the ParABS system @PNASNews@bacterialOrder@mpi_marburg@IMPRS_Mic! We've quantified and characterised the behavior of ParA, an ATPase that oscillates within cells. (1/6)
New preprint showing the importance of the highly conserved bacterial SPFH complex for aerobic respiration. Interesting similarity to mitochondrial prohibitins. Great work by Isa Pérez López in collaboration with @LinkLabs and facilities of @mpi_marburg https://t.co/FdkBaNO8sc
Stop the video and tell me if you can locate the disk (I bet you can't).
When even your eyes cannot identify cells in a still image, improving the segmentation method is pointless. A better approach is to use temporal information from previous frames and next frames.
🚨 Job Alert - 2 PhD positions🚨
Are you interested in how bacteria work and how they are affected by antibiotics? 🦠💊 Do you like using fancy microscopes and pushing the resolution boundary? 🔬🔍 Then join my group @RVZ_Wuerzburg @Uni_WUE for your PhD!

CRISPR now also available for Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus for easy access to natural products and manipulation of their biosynthesis: Please see the paper from Alexander in Microbial Cell factories: https://t.co/rt8ZKPpLGb
Finally! After a long journey our latest NRPS engineering story is out at https://t.co/E77e2L7gn1 thanks to the hard work of several members from the @HelgeBode_lab
Paper Alert! 🚀 Bacteria as sources of future drugs 🦠 💊: by elucidating 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 a team led by @HelgeBode_Lab found ideal 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀 for #synbio NRPS natural product engineering

mScarlet-I3 is my new favourite fluorescent protein. Now I can differentiate the positive clones just by looking at colonies after an overnight incubation 😄.
Finally out: mScarlet3
A brilliant and fast-maturing red fluorescent protein.
Congrats to the teams of Dorus Gadella and Antoine Royant!
