The DPP’s office can sometimes be even more frustrating than the police
On 26 January 2025, a fellow tweep was robbed on gunpoint along the Kyaliwajjala–Namugongo Road, with the help of police CCTV cameras, the suspected criminals & their blue Subaru they were using were tracked down
Kira Police suggested an out of court settlement where the suspects would compensate the victim for the stolen phones & money withdrawn from her accounts (round table talk between complainant & suspects), but she declined, her position was simple, those responsible should visit university of understanding coz releasing them back into society could put more people at risk of being robbed, harmed or even killed
the case attracted a lot of pressure & attacks from some influencers here after the suspects allegedly claimed support for Team MK, eventually 2 suspects were sentenced to Luzira, the car used in robbery was parked at kira police but to our surprise, they were released out of Luzira after only about 2 months
concerned by wat had happened, I contacted the office of @Tom_Magambo & was connected to one of his assistants, ( Afande Chelimo Beata) she followed up the matter & was equally surprised by the circumstances surrounding the release, she then linked me to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions & even facilitated my transport to lodge a formal complaint ( very good lady)
at the DPP office, i was advised to wait 5–7 days for feedback, ladies & gentlemen, it has now been months & we have never received any response & these suspected armed robbers are freely roaming around the public & most of u are not even safe
now u wonder where did DPP base to set these people free back to community 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

Killed in Mob Attack at DTB Bank Ntinda ( @dtb_uganda )
It’s alleged that, this young man, lost his life on Monday following a mob attack at DTB Bank in Ntinda, according to accounts from witnesses, he had gone to the bank to withdraw money, after completing the transaction, a dispute reportedly arose when the bank manager accused him of having previously obtained money from him through fraud some months back & instructed security guards to stop him from moving out
as he attempted to leave the bank premises, a confrontation came up, boda boda riders in the area allegedly mistook the situation for maybe bank gun point robbers & descended on him, subjecting him to a severe beating
It’s said that, customers who were present at the bank intervened & rescued him from the mob before taking him back into the bank, @PoliceUg were later called to the scene but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries before he reached police station for statement
no one deserves to lose their life at the hands of a mob, allegations should be investigated by the police & courts, not decided through violence.
N.B I deleted this post yesterday, after DTB bank head office contacted me to pull it down, they assured me to issue out official statement on wat happened today morning, which they didn’t full fill, thus posting it again today evening ( I pledged to always speak for ordinary people (Abapakasi)

For once,let’s snitch together.
Sydney’s killer is out there, probably working nights, thinking we’ll move on. We won’t. Uganda is big, but when we watch together, it gets small fast. Seen him? Heard him? Know the boda? Say something.

Where is Sydney's car? What do the CCTV cameras show? Where is the woman who claimed her bag was snatched? Can the individuals captured on CCTV be identified?
In many investigations, vehicles are traced from their point of departure to the scene and beyond. Was Sydney being followed? Was this a setup? These are questions that deserve clear answers.
We call upon the relevant authorities to provide a transparent account of the facts and ensure that justice is served.

I have a concern that has always bothered me. Why do some people refuse to enable the transfer of vehicles they no longer own, even when they no longer have any claim to them? On the other hand, there are those who own vehicles that are not registered in their names and seem unbothered, even when the registered owners are willing to facilitate the transfer.
Do people truly understand the legal implications of such actions? Failure to transfer vehicle ownership can create serious challenges in matters of liability, traffic offenses, crashes, insurance claims & investigations. It is always in the best interest of both the seller and the buyer to ensure that vehicle ownership is transferred promptly.
@PoliceUg from the clip taken where Sydney eventually collapsed from, we have these people that continued to beat him. Can we have them identitied and arrested as well.

And the shirt (7) that Sydney wore for his last sail in the Enterprise Cup final has been retired from duty in his honor. 🕊️🕯️

Secondly, the police need to learn how to properly evacuate casualties.
You can’t just dump injured people under pickups and call it saving lives. In fact, many die in the process.
Lives that could have been saved are instead lost due to poor evacuation.💔
