What if MemPalace got 100% in the metric it was going for all the while still not using any LLMs or APIs or GPUs...
Well, wonder no more, I tidied up an experiment from this past weekend and am sharing the results as well as the code (links in replies)
Cool things are happening with people designing their homes as easily as vibe coding
Deskilling is irrelevant when it unlocks personalization of where folks live

Most people spend their lives living in buildings they had little influence over.
We believe AI can help change that.
Over the last month, 120,000 people generated 325,000+ home designs with https://t.co/M3bUUqREhP
Today, we're excited to share that we've raised a $16M Seed led by Buckley Ventures to continue building multimodal generative models for residential architecture and spatial design.
Here's a glimpse of what we're building:
This is the same as believing the efficient market hypothesis
If prices were efficient, there’d be no hedge funds. If coding was solved, there’d be no people driving the agents
Do you have customers asking for SDKs in languages you don't support? Or, even worse, are you paying hundreds of dollars a month per SDK?
Now presenting Sterling, an open source OpenAPI to SDK generator for 13 languages!
Having had friends text me about web scraping startups from YC after I went with SPC, I’d give credit more to this stuff happening as “market validation”
Factories in china don’t copy failing American products
Stealing ideas in tech is like stealing jokes in standup comedy, when it happens it’s usually noticeably worse
Even the US version of the Office had to develop new character dynamics than the UK version
General Catalyst just co-led a $31.5 million seed round into a blatant rip-off of my company, Kled.
(skip to 40 seconds if you want to skip context)
I would typically not speak on things like this, but this level of blatant copycatting is egregious and completely unacceptable, and needs to be made an example of.
This is one of hundreds of YC startups who have conducted this disgusting behavior. Unimaginative slop that continues to get rewarded due to nepotism.
@zeeg@krzyzanowskim Makes sense, I look forward to when junior agents are able to get hired as contractors off Fiverr with all the capabilities in place
If I’m to inject an idea, functionality that sits above vendors could be funny ie “we’re tired of Jira, move our tickets to Linear”
"if your github profile cant compare to mine, its probably not the right fit"
Quickly made 46 commits so I'd get to 6k contributions before you https://t.co/stM0mSTbIX
if you want to come work on things like this i have open recs at Sentry
$350k to $1m TC
you need to have a proven track record, ample public work, be highly autonomous, 5+ years industry experience, and be based in SF or willing to relocate.
if your github profile cant compare to mine, its probably not the right fit
DM your credentials (or email to david at sentry)
@zeeg@krzyzanowskim That’s a use case of pi I hadn’t considered (ig Claude agent SDK won’t be useful for subs soon)
I found a strength of pi to be its extensions. Much easier DX than, say, VS Code extensions (before LLMs I was mostly an eMacs user)
@zeeg@krzyzanowskim >are trying to build something meaningful and/or relevant
What about junior distinguishes it from being a professional openclaw? Both are pi wrappers
Asking out of curiosity bc this seems like one of those areas where people either make their own or there’s one everyone uses
imagine being hunted by something that‘s imitating being human, calling to you in a human voice, making human-like footsteps
then, if you’re spotted, blasting you with a smattering of supersonic tungsten pellets, from 70 yards away.
and worse, it's calling to you pretending to be a beautiful woman in the woods, who’s interested in you,
with foreknowledge of your habitual movements, using infrared camera technology far beyond your wildest understanding,
wearing a camouflaged skin and weaponry that perfectly blends into the foilage,
having camped out before sunrise, while you were sleeping, in a slitted box that's parked year-round in your backyard
and there planted are decoys, which appear to look exactly like humans, frozen in position, relaxing and eating. who wouldn’t come get a closer look?
you walk up, and BAM, from a place you cannot see, comes a sound you will never hear, from an enemy you cannot possibly comprehend
thats turkey hunting for you. i'm very glad i'm not a turkey. its a good day to be a turkey killing machine
At least one person at Anthropic thought this was really smart
* Brings direct usage to their product (Claude Code)
* Cleaning up VC-subsidized tokens
What does today's CAPTCHA solvers or ad-blockers look like with LLM subs? Or, will models get cheap enough it doesn't matter?
Starting June 15, paid Claude plans can claim a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage.
The credit covers usage of:
- Claude Agent SDK
- claude -p
- Claude Code GitHub Actions
- Third-party apps built on the Agent SDK
@willdepue Think a partial solution could exist with environments for games (bring back OAI gym?)
For a language hackathon I made a LISP for representing card games (we can represent 3d shapes in c# but always write card objects from scratch in poker interview Qs)

You may have heard of chess engines but what about one for Magic the Gathering?
For the Langjam hackathon I made a few DSLs for defining card games like Go Fish as well. Link to blog post describing the design and approach in replies.
Here's a video of two random bots playing
@willdepue We have the Enhanced Games (doped Olympics)…
When will we see the top labs compete their models in games instead of productivity benchmarks?
Think it’d be cool to pair a model writing a Dota2 engine to play against OAI Five or different game with better graphics than chess
