@Shima_Xueliarts The "ppl won't get the ref" is a bad argument regardless of the audience. Even in native EN works making EN-source references, there will still be people missing refs. And ppl will continue missing and misunderstanding refs if the universal standard is to avoid and not teach.

It varies though on what you're applying to. Like being asked to tell a time when I "overcame something" was more common w/ apprenticeships

It can also be because the healthcare facility didn't generate the claim correctly either as a simple mistake or because they're the ones trying to scam you. It's not a one-way street.
