புதுக்கோட்டை, அன்னவாசல் அருகேயுள்ள மகாத்மா பாலிடெக்னிக் கல்லூரியில் முதலாமாண்டு படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். விடுமுறை அன்று காலைவேளையில் விடுதியில் அமர்ந்து Record Note எழுதிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது நண்பன் வித்யாகர் ஓடி வந்து, " ஆளு! எதோ இலங்கைத்தமிழர் பிரச்சினையாம். எவனோ தீக்குளிச்சுட்டானாம். காலேஜுக்கு எல்லாம் லீவாம்" என்றான்.

எழுதிக் கொண்டிருந்த Record Note ஐ மூடி வைத்துவிட்டு, கட்டிலில் இர��ந்து இறங்கி, "லீவா? உண்மையா?" என ஆச்சரியத்தோடு கேட்டேன். அப்போது, 'யார் தீக்குளித்தது? என்ன பிரச்சினை?' எனக் கேட்கத் தோணவில்லை. அந்தளவில்தான் அன்றைக்குப் புரிதல் இருந்திருக்கிறது.

விடுமுறை உறுதி ஆனவுடன், பையை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு ஊருக்கு கிளம்ப நண்பர்கள்சகிதம் கிளம்பினேன். ஒரு ரூபாய் போட்டு தொலைபேசியில் நண்பர்களுக்கு அழைத்து, "ஊருக்கு வர்றேன்.காலேஜ�� லீவு. கிரிக்கெட் விளையாடுவோம்" என மகிழ்ச்சியோடு கூறினேன்.

பட்டுக்கோட்டைக்குப் பேருந்து ஏறுவதற்கு புதுக்கோட்டை பேருந்து நிலையம் செல்கையில் அங்கு இனமானத் தமிழர்கள் வைத்திருந்த பதாகை கண்ணில் பட்டது. 'தமிழா! உன் வரிப்பணத்தில் உன் இனத்தை அழிக்க ஆயுதமா?' எனும் பொருள் தொனிக்கும் வகையில் இருந்த ஒரு வாசகம் மனதுக்குள் ஏதோ இனம் புரியாத ஒரு உணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தியது. அப்போது தெரியவில்லை ��துதான் இன உணர்வென்று! அதுதான் மனதில் ஏற்பட்ட முதல் தீப்பொறி! வாழ்க்கையை மொத்தமாக மாற்றிய கணம்!

திரும்பிப் பார்க்கிறேன்.
15 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாகிவிட்டன.

தலை*வர் பிர*பாகரன், தமி*ழீழம், விடு*தலைப்பு*லிகள் எனும் பெயர்களைக்கூட கேள்விப்பட்டிராத என் போன்ற பிள்ளைகளை அண்ணன் முத்துக்குமார் முழுமையாக ஆட்கொண்டுவிட்டார். அவர் தோளில் இருந்த இன விடுதலைக் கனவை எங்கள் தோள்களில் கடத்திவிட்டார்.

அண்ணா! உன் உடலை எரித்த தீ எப்போதும் கனலாய் எங்கள் நெஞ்சங்களில்..!

உன் நினைவைச் சுமந்து, கனவை நோக்கி உன் தம்பி, தங்கைகள்!

ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ். இயக்கம் நாட்டு விடுதலைக்குப் பாடுபடவில்லை; நீதிக்கட்சியும் நாட்டு விடுதலைக்குப் பாடுபடவில்லை.

கோல்வார்க்கரும், சாவர்க்கரும் காந்தியை ஏற்கவில்லை; பெரியார் ஈவெராவும் காந்தியை ஏற்கவில்லை.

பெரியார் ஈவெரா மொழிவழித் தேசியத்தை ஏற்கவில்லை; சங் பரிவார் கூட்டமும் மொழிவழித் தேசியத்தை ஏற்கவி���்லை.

இவைகள் இரண்டும் ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாடுகள்தானா? இவைகளை ஒன்றுதான் என்றால், ஏற்பார்களா திராவிடப் பெருமக்கள்?

அதேபோல, நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி பெரியார் ஈவெராவை விமர்சிப்பதற்கும், எதிர்ப்பதற்கும், பாஜக எதிர்ப்பதற்கும் வேறுபாடுகள் இருக்கின்றன. இரண்டும் ஒன்றில்லை; இவ்விரண்டையும் ஒ��்றெனக் காட்ட முற்படுவது ஆகப்பெரும் மோசடித்தனம்! எங்களது விமர்சனங்களையும், கேள்விகளையும் நேர்மையாக எதிர்கொள்ள வக்கற்று, அவற்றிற்கு உள்நோக்கம் கற்பிக்கும் கயமைத்தனம்!

பெரியார் ஈவெரா மீது நாங்கள் வைக்கும் விமர்சனங்களை பாஜக தரப்பு வரவேற்றால், அது அவர்களது தன்வயப்படுத்தும் வழமையான அரசியல். அதற்கு நாம் தமிழர் கட்சி எப்படி பொறுப்பாக முடியும்? இதே பாஜகவைச் சேர்ந்த எல்.முருகனும், நயினார் நாகேந்திரனும் பெரியார் ஈவெராவை வரவேற்று நேர்மறையாக அணுகியதும் உண்டு. அதற்கு என்ன சொல்லப் போகிறார்கள்? அதனால், பெரியார் ஈவெரா மீதான விமர்சனங்களை வைத்து ஆரிய எதிர்ப்பை அளவிடுவது அரைவேக்காட்டுத்தனமானது.

ஆரிய எதிர்ப்புக்கு பெரியார்
ஈவெரா ஒருபோதும் அளவுகோல் அல்லர்; பெரியார் ஈவெராவை விமர்சித்தாலோ, எதிர்த்தாலோ அதனை வைத்து ஆரியத்துக்கு ஆதரவானப் போக்கு எனக் கூறுவது அ��தூறு; அபத்தம்!

இன்னும் சொல்லப் போனால், அறிவாசான் திருவள்ளுவரையும், அண்ணல் அம்பேத்கரையும்கூட பாஜக எதிர்ப்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் மீது காவிச்சாயம்தான் பூசுகின்றனர். அதற்காக அவர்கள் அன்றைக்கு ஆரியத்தை ஆதரித்ததால்தான் பாஜக இன்றைக்கு அவர்களைக் கொண்டாடுகிறது எனக் கொள்ள முடியுமா? அவ்வாறு கருதினால், அதனைப் போல அடிமுட்டாள்தனம் ஏதுமில்லை.

அந்த அடிமுட்டாள்தனத்தின் நீட்சிதான், பெரியார் ஈவெரா மீதான விமர்சனத்திற்கு நாம் தமிழர் கட்சிக்கு ஆரியச்சாயம் பூசும் அபத்தமானச் செயல்பாடுகளும்!

டி.டி.எப். வாசன் வாகனம் ஓட்டும்போது அலைபேசியில் பேசியது தவறுதான். அதற்காக அபராதம் விதித்திருக்கலாம்; வழக்குத்தொடுத்து விடுவித்திருக்கலாம்.
அதனைவிடுத்து, கைது நடவடிக்கையைப் பாய்ச்சியிருப்பது மிக மிக அதீதமானது.

பாலியல் சீண்டல் வழக்கில் நீதிமன்றத்தால் தண்டனை குற்றவாளி என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு, சிறைத்தண்டனை விதிக்கப்பட்ட ராஜேஷ் த��சை 11 மாதங்கள் கைதுசெய்யாதுவிட்ட வெட்கங்கெட்ட திமுக அரசு, வாகனம் ஓட்டும்போது அலைபேசியில் பேசியதற்காகக் கைதுவரை சென்றிருக்கிறது.

கைதுசெய்யப்பட்டதற்கு வாகனம் ஓட்டும்போது பேசியது காரணமா? இல்லை! தேர்தல் சமயத்தில், "மாற்றத்துக்காக சீமான் அண்ணனுக்கு ஓட்டு போடப் போறேன்" எனப் பேசியது காரணமா?

💫 Eelam Tamil rights activist wins Korean human rights prize

The 2024 Gwangju Prize for Human Rights by the South Korean May 18 Memorial Foundation has been awarded to Tamil women's rights activist Suganthini Mathiyamuthan Thangaras.

Suganthini, who is the head of the organization "Amara", has been fighting for the rights and empowerment of war-affected women in Tamil Eelam against the repression and suffering caused by the Sri Lankan government and its security forces.

She is a survivor of sexual violence and of the 2009 Mullivaikkal genocide.

Thank You, Canada for Marking the First Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day!

I would like to express my deep sense of gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister of Canada for marking May 18, 2023, as the ‘First Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day,’ which has truly brought a ray of hope to the victims. For many decades, the Canadian government has continued to support the Tamil community and never refrained from showering love on Tamils. It is no surprise that Canada became the first country to recognize the Tamil Genocide.

I also sincerely thank the Canadian Prime Minister for the unwavering support of the Tamil community, understanding the Tamils’ unbearable pain caused by the war in Sri Lanka through his interactions with the Tamil-Canadian community. I would like to thank you for reaffirming your support through your recent statement that reads: “Canada will not stop advocating for the rights of the victims and survivors of this conflict, as well as for all in Sri Lanka who continue to face hardship”.

At this juncture, I thank the Canadian Parliament as well, which recognized last year that there is much work to be carried out to ensure that the perpetrators of the genocide are held accountable for their atrocities.

I would like to request that the Canadian government assist the Tamil community in their efforts to make the world community understand our pain and trauma caused by the systematic genocide, recognize the Tamil genocide, and reassure us that justice will prevail.
