The only reason why most would vote for congress is Rahul and we (at least most) want him to be the prime minister wholeheartedly.
But, the DMK hatred exhibited by TNCC is not going to be of any use. Ideal spot is to stay away from TVK & DMK in state and build party! 1/2

Have listened to hundreds of speeches IN Parliament & State Assemblies... rarely have i seen someone as effective as @AadhavArjuna ... he is a star in the making! A talented politician and gifted orator.. top notch today in TN assembly... !!
I don't think the #DMK MPs will attend this meeting.
Their likely argument will be: "We repeatedly demanded an all-party meeting on the Cauvery issue, but the government refused. If that was not convened, why should we now participate in a meeting called by the government?"
From perspective, that is a politically defensible position. If delimitation is projected as an issue of state rights, the Cauvery dispute is equally a matter of state rights.
I’m still not sure about the Congress party or its politics, but this man is good, kind and gentle. Ironically, those were the very qualities he was ridiculed for in the ‘Pappu’ campaign that took off after the disastrous Arnab Goswami interview in January 2014.
As a film editor, I knew right then that the interview had been maliciously edited to make him look like a fool (I could write a book on that interview). I said as much at the time, but my voice was drowned out by a strong BJP IT cell working in overdrive.
That bubble has long since burst. Rahul Gandhi has emerged stronger, more relentless, and undoubtedly a far more astute politician than his detractors gave him credit for.
What I find most heartening is that he hasn’t become like those he opposes. He didn’t trade away his decency or his gentleness to take on the brutes. In today’s politics, that may be his greatest strength.🌸
@RahulGandhi@INCIndia
You have to give it to Rahul Gandhi. He is the only Indian politician who moves aside and hands over the stage to voices that need to be heard. He does it naturally and with grace.

Because, we want a strong INC in the union for a better India and who’s better positioned to champion social justice, state autonomy etc., than the DMK? India needs INC and DMK, not just INC
DMK has never been a backstabber when it comes to state rights and autonomy, ensuring social justice and it’ll never be - I can say this, even without being a DMK member!
It was INC who placed edu in concurrent list, used Article 356 etc., But, we won’t call INC backstabbers.
Tamilnadu will always needs DMK and like in the past, the present is no different!
Ideological commitment, state autonomy and growth - Once JJ is gone, there isn’t anyone except DMK who are even committed towards these a bit!
Normally, Udayanidhi's arrest should have sent convulsions across the political spectrum. What did we witness instead? Vehement condemnation from DMK leaders. A tepid show of support from the Dravidian ecosystem. Silence from erstwhile allies. And cheers from a large section of Tamil Nadu.
The implications are loud and clear. The DMK has lost its aura. Its hold over Tamil Nadu is on the wane. The party can no longer return to power on its own.
Yes, I am a vocal DMK supporter. I concede.
That said, what DASH did @Udhaystalin actually say in the meeting? The crowd was yelling a particular name. He looks at them, smiles, and says, “Water must come from where it must come.”Then he adds, “l am talking about Cauvery.”
What exactly is @Udhaystalin supposed to do when a crowd yells a name? Pause the rally to deliver a 20-minute lecture on political etiquette? The expectations being manufactured here are completely absurd.
I see this being blown up by select media handles backed by the TVK IT wing.
If saying this lowers my standing here, so be it. There is a limit to blind following. You cannot cast aside fairness and simply keep punching down on someone just because their opponent has a large, blind following.
I’m not blind to PR tactics, and nobody signed a universal treaty with all women just because a crowd shouted one name. Stop treating routine rally dynamics like a monumental political breakthrough.
Watched both parts of #JasonSanjay’s interview. An absolutely heartwarming conversation, especially Part 2, where he opens up about his family and his relationship with his father. Throughout the interview, he speaks with genuine love and camaraderie about his father - completely at odds with the social media narrative that emerged last year.
His interview largely reflects on how sometimes, silence and privacy create a vacuum that people rush to fill with speculation. When someone chooses not to explain themselves, others often write the story for them. It’s a reminder that the loudest narrative isn’t always the truest one.
The DMK absolutely will stand against delimitation. I know this for a fact because their history is rooted in state-rights. Tell your alliance partner to at a minimum to take the name of the BJP as the enemy. There was a time when TN looked up to you. Not any more.

The Name is தி.மு.
DMK fights tooth & nail against d union govt infringing upon state’s autonomy (not just TN) and even more against religious discrimination/hatred and to hold the constitution high - With or without INC. So, you’ll need DMK in union without a doubt, if we need to restore India!
The only reason why most would vote for congress is Rahul and we (at least most) want him to be the prime minister wholeheartedly.

If the TNCC thinks, U can build party by being part of the govt, isn’t reconciling even 2 a commoner. TNCC was supposedly not able to speak against govt for past 5 years, now you are stuck in a similar position. Build grassroots, hold ppl in power accountable (state & center) 2/2
