@thilokonzok@uncommon@nilseller@flornkm Not at a linguistic level. “Hourzero” has a long first syllable that literally slows down the sound in your mouth. This is why they picked BlackBerry instead of Strawberry.
@RubyBrewsday@beehiiv@broderick Thanks! 🫡 NetNewsWire, but I would hazard a guess that currently you don't populate the <description> field, so it passes the CSS in its place, and this'd be the case for all readers.
@beehiiv hey my dudes can you fix the way Beehiiv posts show up in RSS readers?
@broderick's "read to the end" lead-ins are being thwarted by a bunch of CSS
@carlrivera@Shopify It’s not better. Content Designers take part in the product development process. Other writing disciplines (marketing, brand, etc) work from briefs. You’ve just abstracted this away from a whole org perspective.
@GaryMarcus A lot of this is because prompting is being absorbed into the machine learning engineering specialty. Go into a tech company and ask who's writing the system prompts — odds are good it's the MLEs (with some content/product designers on the side).
@levelsio Not *quite* this neat - if you click the green "Google Web Directoy" link in the center of that archived Google page you'll see a Yahoo directory clone.
They anticipated the move from browse to search but they still spent a few years duping Yahoo! inside Google to get there
I wrote about how 'distinction without a difference' is a hidden fallacy in product content design.
Big thanks to @The_Law_Boy and @IfBooksPod for the inspo. Ideas moving across industries you love to see it woooo

@Tomorrows_Gone_@tobi@goodside That’s still pretty bad, no iambic pentameter nor any of Shax’s go-to rhetorical devices. Got a long way to go before it can zero-shot the Bard
Had so much fun speaking at @canva Content Day. Living on HST is cool because I can talk to Australians living a day in the future. 🙌🏾 Thanks for inviting me to give a fun keynote @valoscope! #contentdesign#uxwriting
