One is given to understand that the gentleman presently ensconced in the presidency of FIFA regards the office as a sinecure rather than a stewardship — an arrangement more conducive to his own comfort than to the institution’s integrity. He has, in the fullness of time, become something of a totem for the very corruption the game so desperately needs to purge. It would be difficult to conceive of a more compelling case for his prompt and unceremonious removal.
European countries decided on Thursday that they would boycott all FIFA tournaments, including the World Cup, following a proposal to sell off commercial rights to private investors.

Having revisited Succession for a fourth occasion, I finally gave Industry a chance, and it proved utterly captivating. Kit Harington’s performance was truly outstanding, and Yas has rather confirmed, once and for all, that women are simply terrifying.

AI’s biggest bottleneck is energy… and energy’s biggest bottleneck is copper.
It takes decades to find, permit, develop, finance and build major copper mines.
Kamoa-Kakula was an overnight success after almost 30 years of intense effort. Our geologists first started exploring off the western edge of the DRC Copperbelt in 2003. We discovered Kamoa 5 years later in 2008, and Kakula 7 years after that in 2015. Copper production from Phase 1 started in 2021 and we have since expanded to Phase 3… and we are planning Phase 4.
We are building the next major copper mine at Santa Cruz in Arizona, USA and at the Makoko & Kitoko discoveries in the Western Forelands of the DRC Copperbelt… our geologists continue to explore for the next tier-one copper discovery in Zambia, Angola, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan… watch this space.
We need to keep backing the geologists, engineers and mine builders who will find and produce the minerals upon which our intelligence revolution relies.
