@ChesterMorton96@PodSaveAmerica The rest of the state is already mostly meaningless in deciding the winner of PA. When Rs win it’s because they are able to survive in those cities, margin wise.
@treeaston What’s funny is Nate is discounting Dems’ opportunities
Dems flipped 9 seats and came very close to taking two more on Tuesday. That’s 11 flips. If another D+14 year happens in 28, they could feasibly flip 11 seats to get to 67 (WI, NC, AK, KS, IA, SC, IN, MO, UT, LA, FL)
@DerekPederson3 Are any liberals seriously trying to do away with the Senate? Apart from the vague “senate reform” that comes up when institutional change is being discussed, who is actually trying to scrap the senate?
@DerekPederson3 This would be great for two reasons:
1. It’s better than just dipping and leaving the Iranian regime to their devices
2. It would guarantee Dems win in 2028 lol
@EarthoOS@BeshearStan There are like 3 actually competitive seats in the state senate for 2028. Beyond that would require flipping seats that were R+30 in 2024 to actually get to a majority (4 flips).
@here_not68496@peltolamentum Hinson is a very strong incumbent and Turek beat her by having the higher in-state approval rating of any swing state Dem candidate. The man had +15 net approvals in a R+14 state. He’s easily S tier.
@Prolemasses@StatisticUrban You could say the same thing about Ossoff you know. Everyone seems to forget just how we got Sherrod Brown back in the Senate — it was filling JD Vance’s old seat.
@TrueSlazac@leopoldgc They could reasonably flip 3 off the 2024 map. Past that they’d need a wave of this size to get more lol.
Sucks that they couldn’t get any more this election cycle. Two of the R wins this cycle were decided by only 3 pts :(
@willtobeWill89@csilverandgold Idk, to me Shapiros refusal to run for MI senate reads me as having higher aspirations. Or she might just be done with politics, it seems like that kidnapping attempt conspiracy took a toll on her mentally.
