How can a voice agent tell when you’re actually interrupting it?
VAD is too sensitive—laughs, “mm-hmm,” or a sneeze shouldn’t stop the agent.
We trained an audio model for adaptive interruption handling so agents can distinguish real interruptions from noise.
An AI agent that takes your Spotify playlist, goes and finds the best quality extended mix version on YouTube, then downloads it in the most optimal format, and uploads it into rekordbox and fills in all the details. Id pay for that!!!
Introducing Agents UI, an open-source @shadcn component library for building polished React frontends for your voice agents.
Audio visualizers. Media controls. Session management tools. Chat transcripts. All wired to LiveKit Agents.
Install via the shadcn CLI and own the code.
@kylewatsonmusic in order to free download your 'cant decide' remix, I must allow @laylodotcom to "take actions in Spotify on your behalf" and "add and remove items in Your Library"???
I'm all about the following socials and engaging the song but this is disappointing and invasive...
Sonic 3 was released by @cartesia today, so I built a demo w/ LiveKit where you can talk to all of the new voices.
They have volume control, emotion, speed control, and they can laugh.
Finally someone will laugh at your jokes: https://t.co/v2i0eI0vBY
Introducing LiveKit Inference — a new cloud service that gives you access to the most popular voice AI models with just your LiveKit API key.
We manage rate limits for you, report on usage, and consolidate billing. All LiveKit Cloud plans now include free monthly inference credits.
A single string update allows you to call models from:

OpenAI’s open models are live and already running on Groq. Try gpt-oss-20B and gpt-oss-120B today.
Groq delivers 128K context and built-in tools such as code execution and browser search. For the first time, developers and enterprises can deploy open models backed by OpenAI instantly, anywhere, at scale.
Start building now. Links in comments.
gpt-oss is a big deal; it is a state-of-the-art open-weights reasoning model, with strong real-world performance comparable to o4-mini, that you can run locally on your own computer (or phone with the smaller size). We believe this is the best and most usable open model in the world.
We're excited to make this model, the result of billions of dollars of research, available to the world to get AI into the hands of the most people possible. We believe far more good than bad will come from it; for example, gpt-oss-120b performs about as well as o3 on challenging health issues. We have worked hard to mitigate the most serious safety issues, especially around biosecurity. gpt-oss models perform comparably to our frontier models on internal safety benchmarks.
We believe in individual empowerment. Although we believe most people will want to use a convenient service like ChatGPT, people should be able to directly control and modify their own AI when they need to, and the privacy benefits are obvious.
As part of this, we are quite hopeful that this release will enable new kinds of research and the creation of new kinds of products. We expect a meaningful uptick in the rate of innovation in our field, and for many more people to do important work than were able to before.
OpenAI’s mission is to ensure AGI that benefits all of humanity. To that end, we are excited for the world to be building on an open AI stack created in the United States, based on democratic values, available for free to all and for wide benefit.
It's over. OpenAI just crushed it.
We have their o3-level open-source model running on @GroqInc at 500 tokens per second.
Watch it build an entire SaaS app in just a few seconds.
This is the new standard. Why the hell would you use anything else??
We're releasing an open source Lovable clone next week 👀
Paste any website URL and AI agents will instantly create a working clone you can build on top of.

Everyone is always asking about how @GroqInc is so fast and whether we quantize to super degrade model quality in order to achieve it. The answer is no and today we explain how
These two founders took on the $350B call center industry with a voice agent built using open-source tools. No budget. No headcount. No excuses.
What started as a quick fix for a parent’s small business, now handles 100K+ real calls per month.
This is the story of @phonely_ai, and how Will Bodewes and Nisal Ranasinghe built what every big player said was impossible.
