@scotchua@Szerlip1EA I should have prefaced the post with "outsiders and clients". To all of the people that believe that accounting, tax work is simple, fast, easy and should be cheap... Go sit for all of the exams. If it's all so easy, why didn't the client just do the work?

Staying current and proficient as an EA is exceptionally difficult. Many details and changes to keep up with. It's not just about 3/15 and 4/15.
@Szerlip1EA@scotchua Compared to sitting for the CPA exam, the EA exam is easy to sit for.
The CPA and EA exams are very different which was his point and that self proclaimed experts should go take the exams, my point.
Passing the exams, earning credentials... just the beginning not the end.
