Elon already mogging everyone with Colossus compute. He got the recipe for user coding data from Cursor. Now he needs a stellar team who is the MOST technical and brilliant in the world.

SpaceXAI could catch up quickly because of their compute but they now need to scale the models to 10T with better algorithms and breakthroughs in pre-training and RL science which are algorithmic problems that only the most brilliant, algorithmic people can solve.

The humans who are #1 on Earth at algorithms to write the next training recipe.

OpenAI’s IMO gold model in 2025 came from a tiny 3-person Olympiad dense team. And that breakthrough changed the industry’s mindset about reasoning models.

This needs a special kind of human. And they are all unusually concentrated at Cognition:

- Scott Wu (CEO): child prodigy, MathCounts legend, 3x IOI gold. #1 in the world with a perfect 600/600 at IOI 2014

- Gennady Korotkevich / tourist: the greatest competitive programmer alive. 6 IOI golds (most ever), 2× ICPC world champ, first human past 4000 on Codeforces

- Andrew He: 2× IOI gold, ICPC World Finals runner-up, USAMO winner, Hacker Cup champ

- Kevin Sun: 3× IMO gold, ICPC World Finals runner-up

- Steven Hao, Walden Yan: IOI golds, ICPC finalists

Three months ago tourist, Andrew He, and Kevin Sun won the 2026 Universal Cup Finals in China as a team. That’s the world team championship of competitive programming.

And while OpenAI spent 2025 bragging their model hit IOI gold, Cognition’s engineer Ryan Bai won gold, 7th in the world, while already working there.

These people are the biggest stars on the planet. They are like the messi and ronaldo of math Olympiads and competitive programming.

This matters because teaching AI to code is pure algorithmic depth. Olympiad density converts into frontier AI breakthroughs. And Cognition has the highest concentration of them.

No other lab has this density.

And Cognition’s small elite team already proved this thesis: SWE-1.7 hit near-frontier coding performance at a fraction of the cost, trained via multi-continent distributed RL on patchwork GPUs plus rented capacity.

That’s WITHOUT a supercluster. Now imagine what they can do with Colossus!
