An anti-scab legislation being introduced by government today, increasing workers’ power to demand better wages and working conditions.
No longer will workers be pitted against each other to break the union and give the bosses an upper hand.
BREAKING: California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed landmark legislation that will raise the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 and authorize a first-in-the-nation council, that includes workers, to set industry-wide standards for pay and working conditions.
This is a man who worked for 20 years before becoming a series regular, nearly 30 before becoming a household name. He did regional theater, voiceover for commercials and anime dubbing in the meantime. He knows what it’s like to be a working actor. Listen to him!
Only reason @psac_afpc members have a better deal today is because they took action and withdrew their labour - hopefully this is a message for everyone who said: "But private sector workers have it worse" that unions works.
