I am proud to participate in #HPRSRollCall today! Applying to this program was one of the best decisions I made in my first year. This community is so supportive and is helping me understand how to apply research to policy. I am incredibly grateful. Apply, apply, apply!
๐ฃ๐ข Itโs #HPRSRollCall!! Today is the day to share your HPRS pride on all social media platforms. Help us share the impact the program has made on you and update your banner image to let everyone know you are part of the HPRS community.
Fat people can have eating disorders. Including anorexia. And we deserve recovery as much as anyone else โ which means we deserve to eat without ridicule or restriction.
Yes, because our health and well-being actually depends on it. But we also donโt owe you health, either.
@builtfoesuccess@DrTovaWalsh@UWMadSocialWork Thank you for your time, Durrell! Iโm excited to continue the conversation here and appreciate the space you created and guided today.
I am excited to be participating in the @HPRScholars#HPRSFI2022, where my new cohort is meeting for the first time! Weโre learning to lead and collaborate across disciplines, and use research to drive policy change and build a #CultureofHealth.
A grad student asked me this week, "How do you do the kind of work you want to do without reproducing the unjust power hierarchies of academia?"
I can't, and none of us can, and we should stop pretending like we can be pure radicals inside the academy. ๐งต
Great article, @DSMandell! One of the greatest turns of events while working at @PennCMH was the opportunity to work with David, @HJNuske & EBH. I refer to their examples of innovation, dedication, and sincerity often as I consider how to support justice involved families.
An personal story about my โfearlessโ mentor, @DSMandell and his journey into autism research. Heโs taught me that to make real, lasting change for the good you have to get right to heart of the issue: โWhatโs keeping you up at night?โ @PennCMH
