With gas prices driving up household costs, our plan would lower prices by up to 30¢ per litre, saving drivers up to $20 per fill-up and helping a typical two-car Surrey family keep more money each month.
The calculations in these slides are based on one fill-up per week.
Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We honour survivors, remember the children who never came home, and stand with the families and communities still healing.
We know the truth about residential schools. Survivors told it. The courts confirmed it. And yet denialism and hate are still with us. We saw it on Sunday, when masked white nationalists showed up on Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc land to frighten people in their own homes.
We answer intimidation by standing shoulder to shoulder with survivors. That's how we build a stronger B.C., where every child knows they matter.
Up to 4,000 construction jobs, billions in contracts for businesses across the province, & an estimated $50 billion in revenue for hospitals & schools British Columbians rely on. Some of the lowest-emission LNG in the world, and Germany, Japan & Australia are lining up to buy it.
This is a historic day for British Columbia and a big win for B.C. workers.
David Eby got this deal done. Thousands of good jobs, billions in revenue for our hospitals and schools, and a stronger Canada built right here at home. 🇨🇦
Let's keep building B.C. strong, together.
B.C. has an abundance of critical minerals other countries need. Getting them to world markets means less dependence on the U.S. while creating
✅family-supporting jobs
✅more work for Truckers and
✅the prosperity needed to strengthen health care and public services
#BREAKING: David Eby commits to doubling B.C.'s critical mineral exports and expanding the Port of Prince Rupert. More good jobs here, less dependence on the U.S.
Hamish Telford says "The Conservatives do have a problem...he may not be the leader that [the party membership] wants."
There's no way for the Conservatives to guarantee who'd be Premier if they won.
This party has been at war with itself for years - why would that change now?
Yesterday, we attended the groundbreaking for the new building at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Surrey.
The Sikh community has made tremendous contributions to life in BC. This new Gurdwara will be a sacred space for people practice their faith, while also helping to serve the community for many years to come.
1/2 Having a child with a rare disease is stressful enough. Navigating the system to find answers, support and potential treatments can make it that much harder.
Gurmoh Gill’s family has been extraordinary advocates, helping shine a light on the challenges families face.
BC has a generational opportunity. We’re seeing good results from our efforts so far, but we know there is more to do - together with our partners, we will unlock every opportunity to create more good jobs & build long-lasting prosperity that every British Columbian can share in.
Attracting billions in investment, creating thousands of jobs, & generating new revenue to fund services - but we won’t stop now - together with our partners, we’re seizing the moment & building strong, longlasting prosperity that every British Columbian can share in. 💪🏾

Since being sworn in as Minister of Mining and Critical Minerals less than two years ago now, our government has been busy - approving new and expanded mines faster than any other government in B.C. history. And we are seeing some fantastic results for our efforts so far.

When a child needs care in Vancouver, families from across B.C. may have to travel far from home. Our $20M investment in Willow House will help create 75 new suites for families, making it easier to stay close to their child during treatment.

Thank you Skilled Metal Trades Council @ironworkers97, Millwrights2736, @boilermakernews, @UALocal170 for the invitation to speak at your reception.

‘Mining Matters: Opportunities for BC and Communities’ was the theme of this morning’s @C3AllianceCorp@ResourceSeries.
Justin Himmelright, @SkeenaGoldSilv, introduced the panel which discussed how BC’s mining sector sustains urban, rural, and First Nations communities across British Columbia.
Before introducing panel moderator @goehring_m, President & CEO of the Mining Association of BC (MABC), Justin reflected on a remark he made two years ago: "We have money in our pockets, shovels in the ground, all we need is permits in ours hands.” This year, he was pleased to share that the Eskay Creek Project in Northwest BC is fully permitted and under construction, with production expected in early 2027.
Michael Goerhing set the stage by noting British Columbia has 31 new mines or mine extensions in various stages of advanced development. If approved, these projects could generate hundreds of thousands of jobs and contribute an estimated $79 billion in economic activity across the province.
Nadia Haider, Vice President, Sustainability at @elkvalleyr, spoke about the significant community benefits of the Fording River Extension Project in the East Kootenay region. The project will sustain 1,500 jobs supporting local families, businesses, and communities for years to come.
Greg Perrins, Vice President, Sustainable Development @OsiskoGold, spoke about this week’s Final Investment Decision for the Cariboo Gold Project. Osisko expects to invest more than $990 million during the project's three-year construction period, creating up to 600 jobs at peak construction. The company has a target that 75% of hires must come from the Cariboo region, underscoring its commitment to local economic development.
Minister @JagrupBrar1 spoke about his government’s efforts to advance mining projects and his Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve permitting processes.
The most important question from the audience focused on how local elected officials can support resource development while maintaining strong environmental stewardship. The panelists pointed to three key considerations:
1️⃣ Continued investment in water quality management and treatment. EVR has invested approximately $2 billion in water treatment infrastructure.
2️⃣ Meaningful partnerships with communities and First Nations. Osisko emphasized the importance of collaborating with local communities to design projects that create shared benefits and long-term success.
3️⃣ BC's strong record of responsible mining. The province's regulatory framework continues to evolve and incorporate advances in science, technology, and best practices, thereby ensuring BC maintains some of world's highest standards for environmental protection and responsible resource development.
MABC thanks all the panelists for a thoughtful discussion and the C3 Alliance team for hosting another excellent event.

After years of cuts to health care, we’ve been rebuilding, recruiting internationally trained doctors and nurses, and have connected more than a million people to primary care.
Great to see more health care workers choosing B.C. We’re not stopping here.
Thank you District of Summerland for taking the time to meet with me and MLA @amboultbee at UBCM - my heart has been with you through the tragic wildfires this summer - and all of B.C. stands with you as rebuilding takes place. #SummerlandStrong ❤️
Awesome to be back at @UBCM to continue to work with local governments on bringing more of the good, family-supporting jobs B.C.’s mining sector provides to communities in every corner of our province. ⛏️
