One of the tough things abt trying to investigate AI is that, w/o a budget to try lots of tools, you are really forced to just gather some baseline facts and then hope your bet on a tool pays off. Like in-house work I guess: make the best decision you can w/ ltd time & info.
@zackbshapiro Thanks for this. Very interesting. Curious how you think this would do for a decent-sized in-house department? Very different business than law firms and with different skills and priorities required.
@RileeDHarrison I haven’t felt this seen in months. One big reason I left litigation for data privacy. The monotony and slog of discovery is just gross and unnecessary.
@BarExamTutor The pass rate this cycle is pretty consistent with the rate during my cycle in *cough* 2011. Following you, I see other states have had plunging pass rates. I still think this exam is unnecessary and a wholly unrealistic test of whether someone can be a lawyer.
@sydesq It depends on where you want to go. Most banks don’t hire anyone with less than 8-10 years experience. Other smaller or more tech-forward companies are more lenient. But in-house is a great life
@inreGray I moved in house to do similar work and am professionally happier than I’ve been in a decade. I don’t know you but I know you’ll be great and be happy.
@J_Dot_J We should have mortgaged the future again and gone after Lamar. I know we are in cap hell, but we could’ve made it work for a couple more years before Evans has no more hamstrings.
