@taxtweet@Starbucks I treated myself to a nice espresso machine last year. After learning how to use it, I make 1-2 double espressos a day and don’t have to go anywhere to get my fix. Well worth the investment!
@AndyGrewal @stumbalinaa I’m sorry for asking you to inconvenience yourself for potentially 1-2% of your life expectancy. And I’m sure those who have lost loved ones or been debilitated by this wish more people would’ve been willing to do so. Cheers
@AndyGrewal @stumbalinaa I don’t personally know you but have enjoyed and respected your insight on issues in taxation. I fully believe you can see that these arguments to the extreme are unhelpful. Cheers.
@stumbalinaa @AndyGrewal When did I ever say people should wear masks for the rest of their lives? It’d be nice if people would care enough about their neighbor to realize that a minor inconvenience for a relatively small amount of time is a worthwhile thing. That’s all.
@stumbalinaa @AndyGrewal Next time there’s a big lightning storm in your area, I’m sure you’ll let your kids stay outside and play. Odds are they’d be fine….
@stumbalinaa @AndyGrewal No, but I use up to date child seats in the car, and ensure my child isn’t unsupervised in the pool and wears flotation devices that keep her safe. How are these mitigation protocols and vaccine any different?
@CoxHelp why is your internet becoming increasingly unreliable? Would love to know why our network has been intermittently going down over the last two weeks.
@M_SullivanTax@janetnovack@Forbes What about all of the borrowers who are several weeks into their 8-week forgiveness period? I have multiple clients in this situation. They have to spend the funds now based on what the existing rules say.
IRS: substance over form is what matters when examining a tax position. Also IRS: let’s set aside the substance and nullify tax-free PPP loan forgiveness by focusing on form.
@nittiaj In 1.d., toward the bottom it says, “For individuals with income from self-employment from 2019 for which they have filed or will file a 2019 Sch. C, expenses incurred between 1-1-20 and 2-14-20 may not be considered bc of the lack of verifiable documentation on expenses...”
The means testing in the Senate Bill is way too complex and will cause unnecessary delay in getting cash to people who need it. Why not just make a level payment to everyone and make it taxable in 2020?
An unusual outburst for a music concert: an audience member shouted "Wow!" at the end of Mozart's "Masonic Funeral Music." The group's president and CEO, David Snead, was determined to find out who had broken audience protocol. @SteveHartmanCBS reports. https://t.co/sWibmu2uOO
