@Zboozee@DDAgency_Team Hey @Zboozee let's find a time to catch you up on our 2-way Olark/Slate integration :) - given we already integrate with Hubspot, there might be some extra magic to do together with the @DDAgency_Team.
@djkalbert@CSUNCOD I felt the same way about my talk, I tried to reframe anxiety as excitement. I think the anxiety means you really care - and really caring means it's going to go well. I am sure you'll do great :)
Are you in *higher education?* 🎓
Have you been thinking about ways to increase enrollment?
Or how to use website chat to engage with potential students?

@GeoffTRoberts Chatbots are ruining user expectations, such that when you see a bubble in the lower right hand corner of a website you now expect it to not let you talk to a human being.
The only way SMBs are going to be able to compete is with relationships -- so there's damage to undo.
I wanted to share some ❤️ this weekend. Our cat Franklin passed away on Friday. He was the original Bootstrap Cat, and emotional support through many ups and downs of our journey. A tribute to a friend: https://t.co/SJ05fJzMKW. #pet#loss#resilience#bootstrapcat#startupcat
If you’re an #engineering leader, this is a useful article (from my fellow Olarker Nick) on running a virtual retreat: https://t.co/hW9w4l2ox4 P.S… We are hiring! #remotejobs
@TomALloyd@AlexKavel Thanks @alexkravel. @TomALloyd we have some pretty interesting automation/bot betas about to go live -- we are working on some innovative approaches to make the bot experience more human/personal. If you or your client are interested, you can email [email protected], or reply direct
@DanPriceSeattle@olark If you or your customers feel like what we do would help, would gladly work out any sort of pricing/deal/discount - like I said, I really appreciate what you and @GravityPymts do, and this time is pretty rough for small businesses, we gotta stick together.
@nbaschez We started working on @olark in 2007. You worked with us in the early days, I think it made us cheap and scrappy, and willing to do much with very little. We worked for $0 for 2 years, and not much more than that the 3rd year.
@TheWildTwitch @jfriedlaender@olark Thanks for the kind words :) Intercom has raised something like 240M, @Olark bootstrapped with 65K total from some friend and family and YC. When your company exists to serve your customers (as opposed to provide return to your VCs) you get to build a customer aligned company.
A few years after graduating from @ycombinator, @Olark walked away from what could potentially have been a very lucrative acquisition offer. This is the first time I am telling the story publicly :) #startup#ycombinator#exit

almost can't believe @Olark is turning 10! been enjoying some time reflecting with @jaminben on a decade of fits & starts, failures & successes, and all the Olarkers that shaped who we are today 🙂 https://t.co/UJQ3Xw3s3F
