@Romy_Holland If you lost your interest in food, you've... lost your interest in food. You wouldn't be thinking about food and trying to come up with new foods. This isn't a metaphor. It's weird when people say, "If my mind were different, I'd act like it wasn't different!"
@P3b7_@skdh Can someone explain "used the zk proof as the reward function"? I often see it repeated, but never explained. As a zk proof, surely it can't be used to learn anything about how similar your work is. Isn't the metric just inverse circuit size?
@ShriramKMurthi A lot of people don't know this, but if you become a world class sprinter, you can join any track team in the country, because hey, Free Labor. Wait. No, it's because you've become a world class sprinter.
@KelseyTuoc@EclecticScribe@Jesse_Leg Lawyers, whether shady or not, will be very willing to perform tasks and provide services only tangentially related to your defense, and bill it to your defense. Seems like a very hard problem. See the defense of Charlie Javice, which was paid for by the company she defrauded.
@signulll@Noahpinion He used his personality / power to convince Nvidia to give him the chips back when it seemed like he might create a viable 3rd lab, which would be in Nvidia's best interest. They have the power to anoint the next mega data center, not Elon.
@SowingAlphaSeed@ShmuelLon I don't think "location" is a key part of the definition. As an example, we clearly abstract "location" from just meaning "geography" when we talk of arbitrage across different electronic markets. So abstracting to time is fine, too.
@dieworkwear@theonlyembert People like to appear in public looking some particular way. I think you advocate for that in the context of clothes. Why would it be different for jewelry?
@mnolangray If it's just lack of reporting, surveys that ask, "have you been the victim of a crime" would show crime has surged. Is it maybe possible things are actually getting better?
@adamshuaib@jon_stokes So while OQ might correlate with outcome, so might top universities and companies (I'd bet it does). Including the non-correlation of OQ and top places in your explanation makes me see motivated reasoning in your entire tweet.
@adamshuaib@jon_stokes I'm not doubting there could be predictive value in your metric. But, "Our OQ score had zero correlation with having worked at a top-tier company or attending an elite university." is an entirely pointless thing to say. What matters is correlation to investment outcome.
