๐ The missing Twin Towers returned to New York for a few minutes
A light show was held on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
The drones first rose into the night sky in a spiral, then formed the outlines of the destroyed World Trade Center towers.
The installation used 2,977 drones โ one for each person killed in the attacks.
Thirteen years have passed since the Lady of the Stars left us.
But some lights never fade.
They keep shining in every curious mind, in every gaze turned toward the night sky.

Whether it was through the study of distant solar systems or campaigns for equal rights, Italian astrophysicist & activist Margherita Hack shined as an beacon of progress ๐ฎ๐น

If anyone can beat this, itโs Jeremy Clarkson. Wishing him a full recovery and many more years of tractors, terrible decisions, and brilliant television โค๏ธ
Introducing Artemis III.
Four astronauts. Three launches. Two dockings. One splashdown.
In 2027, the Artemis III mission will practice docking the Orion spacecraft with two lunar landers in low Earth orbit โ the capability we need to return humanity to the Moonโs surface.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! ๐ซถ
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
Earthset.
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
THE ARTEMIS II ECLIPSE.

Totality, beyond Earth. From lunar orbit, the Moon eclipses the Sun, revealing a view few in human history have ever witnessed. Photo: NASA
A new milestone for humankind: The crew of Artemis II are now the farthest any human has ever travelled, reaching a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.
This surpasses the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 by about 4,102 miles.
That's us! ๐
The Artemis II crew captured beautiful, high-resolution images of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. As @Astro_Christina put it: "You guys look great."
Liftoff.
The Artemis II mission launched from @NASAKennedy at 6:35pm ET (2235 UTC), propelling four astronauts on a journey around the Moon.
Artemis II will pave the way for future Moon landings, as well as the next giant leap โ astronauts on Mars.
Standing on the shoulders of giants.
As the Artemis II crew prepares for launch no earlier than April 1, they recently took a moment to pay homage to the Apollo 10 crew and the groundwork they laid for the Artemis II Moon mission.
Today is the 40th anniversary of the Challenger disaster.
As we prepare for our Artemis missions to and around the Moon, it's important that we honor members of the NASA family who lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery.
We're heading to the Moon.
The launch window opens as early as Feb. 6 for our crewed @NASAArtemis mission. Throughout the journey, we'll bring you live coverage on NASA+: https://t.co/XjTc1fTzOv
Happy New Year, everyone! ๐ As we quietly close 2025, carrying its questions, lessons, and small moments that stayed with us, we step into 2026 gently. Wishing for calm, little joys, and room to keep growing, one day at a time. ๐ฅ #CheersTo2026
2025 has been a year of questions, doubts, trial and error, and quiet growth. A year of searching for answers, fixing things, and slowly learning to listen to myself more. Not always easy. Taking what it taught me and moving into 2026, one step at a time. #CheersTo2026
