The problem of many different people interpreting the Bible in different ways is a question of what is orthodoxy. And the answer to that is to first look at hermeneutics; the science and art of biblical interpretation. As a science there are rules for interpreting Scripture. 1/
🇯🇵 There's an idea called "bioleninism". It says that leftists elevate people with biological disadvantages (unattractiveness) who owe their status to the regime. In a merit-based world, they’d lose.
This is a big part of why they hate attractive patriotic women.
@harper_pau55997@bendellwerry@kinisman Yes. Many denominations and Christian charities are syncretizing their theology with globalism due to government funding.
Further to this, during the Epping protest, the protesters attempted to block the migrant hotel using the court system. They had some initial success, but this was quickly overturned by a judge whose explicit reasoning was essentially "Damn what the law says, the government has a positive interest in housing migrants, which overrides whatever concerns locals may have."
Voting didn't work, petitions didn't work, protests didn't work, and the courts didn't work. These peaceful avenues were patiently pursued for decades, and despite being very successful - elections won, legal challenges won, petitions and rallies with massive turnouts - the regime stymied them at every turn.
So now they get war.
@elimcgowan Repent of what? I just noted a longstanding caveat within the Christian tradition to your assertion that “those whom harm children will have God’s wrath poured out on them”.
Here's the questionnaire. Filling it out requires a basic level of competency and literacy suggesting these people know where they go to church on Sunday.
@AndrewTWalker Southern Baptists clinging to a worldview handed to them by legacy media is why there’s a looming pastoral shortage.
“The church that desires to wed itself to the spirit of the age will find herself a widow in the next.”
