“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” - Jim Rohn
The Internet is the permissionless opportunity to be the average of five great people.
@Outdoctrination 2 kiwis contains <200mg vitamin C. This is a lot to you? Maybe to someone deeply Vitamin C deficient. But not to anyone eating even a half decent diet.
@NateLytea@isabellasg3 That’s how they work, by lowering food drive, causing a sustained caloric deficit. All doctors prescribe resistive training exercise together with glp-1s to reduce lean body mass loss, which happens in any caloric deficit if you don’t work out.
"The breakdown of aspartame occurs in the gastrointestinal tract by esterases and peptidases, and none of the intact, unhydrolyzed aspartame reaches the bloodstream. Only the digestion products, ie, methanol (≈10% weight of aspartame) and the 2 amino acids phenylalanine (≈50%) and aspartic acid (≈40%), reach the circulation, and they are in the same form as when absorbed into the body from natural food sources such as fruits, vegetables, and protein foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy, or legumes."

Studies show faster weight loss is associated with reduced incidence of gaining the weight back over multiple years. Every single person I've talked to who's doctor prescribed them GLP1 also said they were prescribed weight training and told to prioritize adequate protein intake. What is "tissue waste"?
@RedPill1991@MonitoringBias@nypost Right, if you hard-diet without protein or training you'll also shed lean-mass = it's not the GLP1s, just as the research I cited shows. Ozempic's primary function is to reduce food drive, helping the user maintain a caloric deficit which is how one loses weight.
Of course. Although we have studies that have shown if you maintain adequate protein intake, muscle loss during a sustained caloric deficit can be minimal even without resistive training. With minimal training you can pretty much stop any muscle loss regardless how you maintain a deficit, GLP-1 or not.
Regeneron is studying combing GLP-1s with a myostatin inhibitor (trevogrumab) and anti-activin A (garetosmab) to further mitigate lean mass loss during weight-loss.
The studies I cited all show experimental data of no significant muscle loss caused by GLP-1 use. Your links are weight-loss advertisements.
*All diets* that result in significant weight loss will come with lean mass reductions. The studies I cited were able to show data there there was no additional lean mass loss caused by GLP-1s.
The muscle loss claim has been debunked.

@Paragramf0rm@HarmonicLodge@sadreturns The circadian rhythm effect is wildly overblown. The research says blue light causes "statistically significant" change to CR but the experimental data shows it's something like a few minutes a day - which is really no big deal in reality. Hate that flicker though!
it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
@taiyasaki@theworldlabs How many people can even run this open source framework themselves compared to how many will pay a few hundred bucks a year to use Marble? Won't @theworldlabs be able to improve from what they can learn from Lyra 2.0? Even just a single 5090 still costs $5000+CAD today on newegg.
UVB light is required to stimulate skin to produce Vitamin D, and these lights require eye protection to be worn while in use. SAD lamps do not emit UVB and so do not stimulate Vitamin D. Also, window glass blocks nearly 100% of UVB from sunlight, so you do not get Vitamin D stimulation through natural windows.
If you can't get outside regularly for decent sunlight, just take Vitamin D supplements. They're cheaper than dirt.
