Great attending last night’s Central Perk/Area 15 @MontcopaDems Primary Recap meeting. I loved hearing how several Republican voters, disappointed to find no Democrats on their ballots, said they wrote in Democrats anyway! 🤣
🚨@GovernorShapiro speaks out against rising antisemitism:
"This is a problem infecting America — not just one particular political party, and we've gotta stand up against it."
ICYMI: The commonwealth's revenues are looking stronger, per Department of Revenue numbers released last week. The state is at $41.7 billion, or almost $1 billion above projections (Or put another way, about $2.4 billion more than last year's revenues at this time.)
BREAKING: I’m appointing a new Special Counsel for Energy Affordability to be our newest watchdog to hold utility companies accountable when they try to jack up Pennsylvanians’ energy bills.
When I delivered my budget address, I made this promise because I refuse to let the powerful interests screw over Pennsylvanians — and appointing a new Special Counsel for Energy Affordability will support our efforts to lower costs and put money back in your pockets.
Live from @DNC Meeting in New Orleans:
We are glad to see the @DNC's Resolutions Committee's rejection of two resolutions related to Israel, both of which were out of step with the policies of the Democratic Party, as codified in the 2024 Democratic Party Policy Platform.
We're grateful to DNC Chair Martin for establishing the Middle East Working Group last year, and agree with the decision of the Resolutions Committee to refer these resolutions to the Working Group for discussion as opposed to adoption. We oppose both resolutions, and are pleased to see their overwhelming rejection by the Committee.
With regard to the resolution on AIPAC, we were also pleased with its defeat in the Resolutions Committee. We agree with the rejection of dark money in politics -- a topic covered in another more expansive resolution adopted by the Committee -- but also believe that singling out any individual organization is both unproductive and unnecessarily divisive.
Trump was warned this would happen. He did it anyway.
Now, over 10,000 Veterans lost their homes. 90,000 more are on track for foreclosure. On top of cutting jobs, slashing benefits and throwing our heroes into an unnecessary war.
The most anti-Veteran President in history.

#Passover is my favorite holiday, a time to gather with friends & family and retell a story of hope & liberation. We could all use some hope right now. Chag Sameach!
And for a hilarious Passover primer, check out my pal @AlexEdelman’s piece:
.@GovernorShapiro on political differences in America:
"We should have differences, and when we iron out those differences... we ultimately end up with a better product... that is a good thing and that is a healthy part of our process.
"What is not healthy is when people inject vitriol, and division, and hate into that conversation."
President Trump can sign whatever the hell he wants to, but it won’t change the Constitution.
The authority to set our election rules belongs to the states — and as Governor, I will protect your right to vote.
That includes your right to vote by mail.
"Most people don't understand as yet the magnitude of this shock."
Of all the issues discussed during this weekend’s many conference calls on the economic and financial consequences of the Middle East conflict, this one sentence stood out the most.
It’s a sobering reminder that we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding the shock to the economic and financial systems.

BREAKING: I just signed a bipartisan bill giving bars the option to stay open until 4 AM as we celebrate FIFA and America250 right here in Philadelphia.
Celebrate responsibly, Philly. 🍻🇺🇸
Jewish institutions now spend $765 million annually on security, according to an estimate last year by the Jewish Federations of North America.
A typical Jewish organization spends 14% of its annual budget on security, @jfederations estimates. https://t.co/wm4JuqSRYF
