it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
Judging by my tl there is a growing gap in understanding of AI capability.
The first issue I think is around recency and tier of use. I think a lot of people tried the free tier of ChatGPT somewhere last year and allowed it to inform their views on AI a little too much. This is a group of reactions laughing at various quirks of the models, hallucinations, etc. Yes I also saw the viral videos of OpenAI's Advanced Voice mode fumbling simple queries like "should I drive or walk to the carwash". The thing is that these free and old/deprecated models don't reflect the capability in the latest round of state of the art agentic models of this year, especially OpenAI Codex and Claude Code.
But that brings me to the second issue. Even if people paid $200/month to use the state of the art models, a lot of the capabilities are relatively "peaky" in highly technical areas. Typical queries around search, writing, advice, etc. are *not* the domain that has made the most noticeable and dramatic strides in capability. Partly, this is due to the technical details of reinforcement learning and its use of verifiable rewards. But partly, it's also because these use cases are not sufficiently prioritized by the companies in their hillclimbing because they don't lead to as much $$$ value. The goldmines are elsewhere, and the focus comes along.
So that brings me to the second group of people, who *both* 1) pay for and use the state of the art frontier agentic models (OpenAI Codex / Claude Code) and 2) do so professionally in technical domains like programming, math and research. This group of people is subject to the highest amount of "AI Psychosis" because the recent improvements in these domains as of this year have been nothing short of staggering. When you hand a computer terminal to one of these models, you can now watch them melt programming problems that you'd normally expect to take days/weeks of work. It's this second group of people that assigns a much greater gravity to the capabilities, their slope, and various cyber-related repercussions.
TLDR the people in these two groups are speaking past each other. It really is simultaneously the case that OpenAI's free and I think slightly orphaned (?) "Advanced Voice Mode" will fumble the dumbest questions in your Instagram's reels and *at the same time*, OpenAI's highest-tier and paid Codex model will go off for 1 hour to coherently restructure an entire code base, or find and exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems. This part really works and has made dramatic strides because 2 properties: 1) these domains offer explicit reward functions that are verifiable meaning they are easily amenable to reinforcement learning training (e.g. unit tests passed yes or no, in contrast to writing, which is much harder to explicitly judge), but also 2) they are a lot more valuable in b2b settings, meaning that the biggest fraction of the team is focused on improving them. So here we are.
Architects of Diversity criticised iBilik’s race preference feature, saying excluding someone based on race is discrimination.
It noted that 31.7% of over 35,000 iBilik listings explicitly exclude Indian tenants, compared with 7.6% for Malays and 3.9% for Chinese.
🧵1
A study found Taman Desa in KL had the highest discrimination against Indian tenants at 47% and Malay tenants at 23%, while Chinese renters in Bangi faced 24% exclusion.
"Many landlords do not view racial preferences as discriminatory, citing property rights to justify tenant selection," said NGO Architects of Diversity.
🧵1
Around 42% of room rental listings in the Klang Valley exclude at least one racial group, with Indian renters facing the highest exclusion rate.
The Architects of Diversity report found that room rentals accepting Indian tenants cost on average 11% more, or about RM74 extra.

The state wields great power over its citizens. Action by state agents therefore have to be legal, for a legitimate aim, and proportionate.
Should authorities be publishing home addresses and personal details when other means exist for contacting a person? Is it proportionate to issue public trace notices after a few messages have purportedly gone unanswered?
The state holds our personal data, our freedom, our very lives, in its hands. I expect this power to be wielded fairly, responsibly and proportionately. This is what we have fought for. We deserve better.
My statement on MACC’s public search notice as a wanted man. I’d like to iterate that I’m not Jho Low nor am I in Macau. This is plain and simple using the largesse of the state against a nobody like me. I’m not a politician, tycoon, or an influencer. Read here:
I'm really resistant to political conspiracies but the James Chai wanted poster tips the scales for me.
That wasn't a poster to find someone. (He is easily found without it) It was a poster to damage reputation and flex muscles -- in way both pathetic and deeply disappointing.
How else would u lose ur Cina vote base but to make a martyr of a highly educated Cina who chose country over money. Good job, high five! Im so proud of your stupidity.
James Chai has more integrity and patriotism in his little finger than most Ministers have in their entire body.
Anyone is free to look up his public profile - he is a world-class intellect who has spent a lot of time on public service, when he could easily have made more money doing other stuff.
This dragging of his name and personal details in the media, as if he's some criminal evading the law (versus doing great work in Cambridge), is absolutely disgusting.
NEW STORY: Epstein and China.
Jeffrey Epstein aspired to do deals in China, corresponding with Peter Mandelson and working closely with David Stern, a German associate who was close to then-Prince Andrew.
