Merleau-Ponty: No, I AM the body.

Plessner: I am the body and I have it as an instrument. I even have a distance to both aspects of my being in the world -- a distance which I also embody.

Indeed, there are not only transcendental but also objective conditions for experience. Take climate change. If it changes too much, it’s the end of human life.

If something can end experience then it must be real beyond experience.

In your academic writing, what pronouns do you use for an unspecified person?

Do you alternate beteen she and he (e.g., between sections)?

Do you use "they"?

Or do you prefer "he/she" ("she or he", etc.)?

Something else? Please explain.

You write: we don't know if being spiritual causes mental health problems, but they're correlated.

Then you write that it's "something of a risk factor for mental health disorders". So that's still a maybe, right?

@FerryDanini I don’t know an agent for your book but here’s a good method to find one:

Make a list of books similar to yours (so-called comp titles). Then read the acknowledgements in those books. The author usually thanks their agent there.

@ikesharpless @ColemanRidge In my humble (= non-ideological) opinion, a world view -- e.g. an egalitarian one -- is ideological if it makes a claim to absolute truth and absolute validity of its values, i.e., if it leaves virtually no room for other competing views and is not open to change.

@JPober @Helenreflects We have 2 definite articles: 'de' and 'het'. 'Den' is an old form of 'de' which you only see in some names or idioms.

There are very few rules as to which nouns are 'de' and which 'het'. This specific case is not covered by any rule.
