Tuesday night was a huge win for San Francisco.
It doesn’t feel like it because voters reelected incumbents and (likely) defeated a bad ballot measure. Nothing dramatic changed.
But that’s the point. We were at risk of moving backward. Instead, voters chose to protect the progress San Francisco has made and keep the city moving in the right direction.
If you want proof that our health systems overlook women, just look at menopause.
In The New York Times @nytimes today, I share why I’m directing new funding to improve the standard of care for menopause and perimenopause. https://t.co/8BPLMDwxdI
1) We might not like how California administers its elections (and I don't). But that doesn't make it fraud. That doesn't make it cheating. It doesn't make it unlawful.
2) That being said, this post-election outrage was entirely foreseeable, but Governor Newsom and the state legislature (assembly) did nothing to improve the situation.
3) They sit by while election officials take the hit. Election officials get dragged online. Election officials get investigated. But it was the state that chose this system.
4) This does not bode well for November.
5) If you have questions about why it takes so long, I recommend this article: https://t.co/99JcCM3lUt
6) If you have additional questions, I can try to help.

Honest Cover Letter:
I’m interested in this job because it’s available. I feel I’m a match because I, too, am available.
You also list a “competitive salary,” which aligns with my passion for food and shelter.
I look forward to discussing this further with your AI screener.
@CaitlinPacific But the fact that there's only one, still patented, medication to relieve hot flashes makes me very glad Melinda French Gates is supporting research on menopause. How, after all this time, is this all we've got?
This is a good moment for very boring, traditional capital gains hikes
- return the estate tax to 2000 levels
- end step-up basis and treat death as a realization event
- treat carried interest as earned income
- raise the top rate from 23.8% to 30%
Can someone give us a manifest of this fake meeting that keeps getting shared?
Who said what ? What was their regulatory oversight power? Were they authorized by POTUS/Chief of Staff to make this claim? Did @pmarca call Biden or Chief of Staff after to express concern?
