Truly amazing! Columbia decided to hold its students accountable to the laws of the school. They are seeing the consequences of their actions. Something these kids were most likely never taught. Good SAT scores and self-entitlement do not supersede the law. I am sure you would agree that we have to teach them these valuable life skills.
Secondly, I was with those “units” last Thursday that you describe as having, “the most violent reputations.” These “units” removed students with great care and professionalism, not a single incident was reported.
The only incidents that day on campus were the student's hateful anti-Semitic speech and vile language towards our cops. I am sure you agree any hateful speech is unacceptable. You should rethink your comments to a simple thank you to the NYPD and hate has no place in our society.
Maybe you should walk around Columbia and NYU and listen to their remarks of pure hatred. I will ensure those “units” will protect you as they do for all NYers 24/7/365.

Thankful to be considered a part of this start-studded group 🙏 Some quick thoughts:
As an Analyst and Associate, I was keenly aware that founders were less than thrilled to be talking to me and therefore knew I needed to be super prepared and on point so as not to be the reason that the founder didn't want to follow up with RRE. Great Analysts/Associates really know their stuff.
I would also say, people either overlook or undervalue the role of internal champions. Note the "s". Having a well-informed, deeply engaged, highly motivated Analyst or Associate who has been treated with respect by the management team goes a long way to building out your champion bench that ultimately fight to get deals over the goal line.
In fact, my partner @rajurishi placed such importance on this that he once flushed a deal on principle when a founder refused to meet with just me for a 1:1 follow-up after an initial meeting with both of us. I remember Raju saying something to the effect of "If an entrepreneur is too good for you, then they obviously lack the respect and humility needed to build and retain a strong team."
