Stunning and devastating opening from Newsnight tonight.
Harsh, yes. Media students (and current broadcast journalists!) take note: your edit is nothing without the right choice of music. And oh boy this is quite the choice.
@mkramer Growing up in the UK in the 80s it seemed like there was something catastrophic every year. Challenger of course but also Piper Alpha, Herald of Free Enterprise, King's Cross fire, Lockerbie, Hungerford and Hillsborough were formative memories 💔
I’m thrilled to announce that you now have a chance to try the amazing food we grow and rear on my farm at the brand new (but quite rustic) Diddly Squat Restaurant. You can’t just turn up I’m afraid, but you can make a booking by following the link https://t.co/xZOWAjqkxq
Interviewing and hiring managers is really hard.
It’s hard for all the reasons that interviewing and hiring engineers is hard, times 10. It’s easy to give answers that sound decent; it’s harder to evaluate their judgment or dexterity in applying an answer to a situation.
We are hiring a director of platform engineering at honeycomb: https://t.co/cK8GVYnPjh.
Because of this, I've chatted with a few managers who have been trying unsuccessfully to advance to the director role. Here is the advice I've had for them; I'd love to hear yours.
@operri80@DPD_UK_Drivers@DPDgroup_news I suspect this individual driver will be reprimanded (hopefully not sacked) but the real issue is likely a corporate culture of fast turnaround at all costs, motivating the staff to cut corners like this 🙁
THANK YOU to all our #StAlbans Posties who are delivering hundreds of COVID test kits on top of the usual massive increase in mail and parcels that Christmas brings - we’re all very grateful! 📦🎄 📮 👏 👏 👏 pls RT!
@easyJet Hi, I want to travel from UK to Portugal on my British passport. On the day I return my passport will have 4.5 months left. UK govt website says I need 3 months on passport and easyjet advice seems to be 6 months. What's correct?

Hi everyone, I have had some space free up in my working week and I'm available immediately to pick up a new additional contract - part-time, working 1 or 2 days a week.
