@bscholl I've said forever that everyone should be required to take a test prior to voting. Don't know the candidates and their positions you can't vote. Can't answer a question about the issue you're voting on; no vote. Too many people vote based on someone's name or party alone.

@dotgil Yes! Agree on this point but also our industry was also full of unexceptional people because they needed someone to write CRUD code. These are the people that should be worried about their future.. especially if they don't embrace a new way of working.

Crazy! The profession of software is rapidly changing and most software engineers aren't keeping up. I predict this chasm will only widen in the next year.

The 10x engineers are becoming 100x and the 1xers are devolving to being human LLM wrappers.. there is a better way folks.

@WallStreetApes Not a little bit cheaper to charge at home, significantly cheaper. My total monthly electric bill is $300-400, in the summer, including our Tesla which we use almost exclusively. That charger is a scam.

@KatieZacharia @FoxNews I'm with you but it seems like a mandated retention policy would solve this issue. Having some short-term retention (in hours) seems like plenty to catch the bad guys and not leave data around for abuse.

Pretty sure Google has plenty of bench strength. They've been playing a distant 3 or 4th place since AI became real. This is their chance to get hungry and take a lead position.
