IN OUR HEARTS…Indy lost a great police leader on this day in 2017
IMPD Deputy Chief Jim Waters tragically died from injuries sustained in an off-duty car crash
He is sincerely missed… #Prayers
We have a system where working Americans have to get drug tests, background checks, company vehicles that monitor everything down to eye movement just to make a living that’s partially confiscated and given to people who live like they’re in Grand Theft Auto.
Unsustainable.
O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? 🇺🇸
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This is exactly why @IndyBain is my favorite Indy City councilor.
At the @IndyCouncil hearing on the proposed tax increase, Bain asked @IndyAndyNielsen a question that should have been asked from the very beginning:
Has the city actually gone through its $1.7 billion budget, department by department and line by line, to identify spending cuts before asking taxpayers for more money?
Nielsen's answer: "No, haven't."
Think about that. The city is proposing higher taxes while admitting it hasn't yet completed a full review of where savings could be found.
Bain pointed out that Indianapolis spends over $1 million on a DUI office and has spent hundreds of thousands on things like a glow-in-the-dark trail, all while residents are dodging potholes and replacing tires, rims, and axles on deteriorating streets.
His point was simple: maybe the due diligence should come before the tax increase, not after.
Tonight is the last city council committee meeting on the increase of wheel and excise tax. Next month it will most likely be approved at the full council meeting.
🚨 “Crotch Cams” are already live in multiple states.
AI traffic cameras mounted so low they’re literally photographing drivers’ crotches to catch phone use and seatbelt violations.
These creepy systems are now active or in heavy use in Minnesota, Georgia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana, Connecticut, and expanding FAST!!
The government can’t secure the border, can’t stop crime, and can’t balance a budget… amongst a lot of other BULLSHIT,…but they’ve got UNLIMITED money to install Big Brother cameras zooming in on your junk???? 🤯🤬
This is straight-up dystopian. Privacy is dead.
Who else finds this absolutely insane? 👇
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!
As you fire up the grill next weekend, put the beer on ice, busting out your best burgers or steaks, please remember why we honor Memorial Day. I’m remembering my friend.
My roommate and best friend was also an Air Force pilot. Mike Hodge. We met in pilot training and decided to rent an apartment together in Charleston, SC. Two single guys, flying around the world, and enjoying our bachelor lives. We’d walk to the Market area of Charleston, have a few drinks, and chat up some girls.
Mike died on takeoff from Sigonella, NAS in Sicily. He was flying a Navy mission to Nairobi, Kenya. On takeoff, they shelled an engine. The shrapnel penetrated the airframe and set hazardous cargo on fire. The pilots donned their oxygen masks but it was too late. They tried to execute an immediate return to the runway and were halfway through their turn. The fumes from the burning cargo overcame them. They never completed the turn and hit a mountain side. Everybody perished.
I received a call from our wing commander and walked across our apartment complex to inform his girlfriend. They’d just become engaged. Mike was dead. And then, I told his parents, who lived in nearby Columbia, SC. The most sorrowful moment of my long career.
A few weeks later, I flew to escort Mike’s remains to his internment in the national cemetery in Beaufort, SC. I presented the flag to his mother on behalf of a grateful nation.
Til Valhalla, Mike.
THE BOWELS OF THE WHITE HOUSE. THE CASE FOR THE BALLROOM.
Deep in the bowls of the White House East Wing, has been the East Wing bunker, known as the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC). It’s a a fortified military underground command center. It’s also where the Military Aide’s bedroom was. I spent many a night trying to sleep there.
It was originally built in 1942 for President Roosevelt as a response to Japan bombing Pearl Harbor. It was built as a secure shelter for presidents during crises, such as the one we had on 9/11. For survivability, it was designed to operate independently with its own air and power systems.
While Democrats constantly shriek and grind teeth about the new White House ballroom, a much more vital and critical renovation is taking place. It’s not a “Trump vanity project,” liberals, it’s vital and long overdue improvements to our national security and sovereignty.
As the ballroom construction continues, the PEOC and the East Wing bunker complex. This area is undergoing major renovations and TOP SECRET upgrades to bring our White House security and infrastructure. The outdated facility is being updated to address modern threats, including drone attacks. We need it!!
American security? Democrats don’t care.
Future presidents safety? Democrats are oblivious.
It’s all about hating Trump.
This is Bob's wife, Becky, @BobsFunGirl. It occurred to me that many of you don't follow me, so may not know that Bob died on April 17. Please see here his obituary. I wrote it with a friend and it was truly a labor of love. Thank you for caring about my giant of a husband.

Here are publicly funded @IndyGoBus employees mocking taxpayers for raising concerns about empty buses. The data shows they are empty. Stop giving them money, please, @SecDuffy. Stop giving them money, Indiana General Assembly.
Happy Easter, friends! He is Risen! 🙏✝️

MAGA is your next door neighbor who works 5 days a week at his dead end middle management job, mows his grass on Saturdays and attends Church with his family on Sundays and is just trying to keep his bills paid, his family provided for and some money left over to retire before he dies.
MAGA is an hourly operator at a local manufacturing plant working 55 hours a week hoping for more so he can take his boys hunting next season and buy his family of 5 the minivan they desperately need.
MAGA is the owner and operator of his own contract trucking business driving on the road 16 hours a day for as many days as he can each week just to keep his family clothed and fed which he can barely do after cutting his rates low enough to compete with illegal drivers who aren’t even literate in their own language never mind English but somehow they are able to get their trucks paid for by others because Americans last.
MAGA is the long retired Sergeant Major who spent years overseas watching his military brethren die one by one only to return to a country full of uninformed overly indoctrinated spoiled twats calling him a murderer but he carried on still lives in the same small town, still gets the news paper, lives on his minimal VA benefits, social security, flies 🇺🇸 in his yard, and still drives his old fixed up 67 Ford in every holiday parade.
MAGA is the 6th generation farmer who’s had to sell off most of his family’s land just to keep his stock fed and watered each year while being undercut by the corporate owned illegal cheap labor hiring land striping industrial farm just up the road.
MAGA is the house wife who spends her whole day keeping her house together, picking kids up and dropping them off to and from school, sports, and recitals, then cooks dinner and prepares the next day lunches for her family before going to bed each night praying to God for her family’s safety and that her kids will grow up to be everything she knows they can be in the country she loves.
MAGA is a 24 year old Engineering grad student who’s been competing with foreigners for internships who already have their entire college paid for by NGO’s floated by the taxes her parents have been paying their whole lives but have been siphoned off by emotionally manipulative political class power hungry criminals.
MAGA is America, not the GOP, not internet influencers, podcast bros, or even President Trump. MAGA is the blood, sweat, and tears, that make this country great by living our lives, providing for our families, chasing the American dream, fighting for our country when called to do so, and showing up to the voting block when it’s time to make our voices heard.
We are and always will be America First because MAGA is America.

I want to apologize for not responding to any of the 22 thousand comments my last post inspired. I’ve been filming all week and just noticed my observations about Jimmy Kimmel and a former plumber named Markwayne Mullin have gone viral. I've also noticed that many of the comments are from people who genuinely seem to believe that Jimmy wasn’t belittling plumbers at all, but was instead, simply trying to point out that Mullin is not qualified to lead the DHS. Here's a small smattering...
Roger Bicknell...
Mikey stop. Kimmel wasn't making fun of plumbers he was making fun of Mullin.
Rebecca Piatt Gonzalez...
Dearest Mike, it's not anything to do with his being a plumber. It's him NOT being skilled in Homeland Security.
Patrick Wise...
Being a plumber qualifies you to be a plumber. Period. The issue Jimmy and the rest of us at the adult table recognize is that jobs require certain training and experience and being a plumber does not qualify you to be Sec of DHS.
Had Roger, Rebecca, Patrick and all the others who rushed to Jimmy’s Kimmel’s defense actually read what I had written, they would see that I did not suggest - even remotely - that a plumber was inherently qualified to hold a cabinet position. What I said was that being a plumber should not disqualify a person from holding such a position. Big difference. Doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, fireman, and university professors are no more or less qualified to run the DHS than plumbers, electricians, or carpenters – but should they all be dismissed as “unqualified” simply because they made a living in some other vocation?
As I wrote in my original post, credentials and diplomas are great ways to bolster a person’s credibility, especially if we’re talking about mastering a specific skill. I think we can all agree that plumbers, accountants, mechanics, and surgeons should all have to prove themselves competent before hanging out a shingle. But what do their credentials and diplomas have to do with their actual competency? Are we not already surrounded by a legion of perfectly qualified experts who don't know what the hell they're doing? Moreover, what do credentials and experience have to do with wisdom, honesty, common sense, integrity, courage, the ability to lead, or any other virtue we’d like to have in our elected officials?
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to question Mullin’s suitability for this role. But there’s no legitimate reason to disqualify him simply because he used to be a plumber. Just as there was no legitimate reason to dismiss AOC because she used to tend bar. As for the joke itself, here’s an honest question. If Senator Mullin was a retired doctor instead of a retired plumber, do you believe he would have would made the same joke?
Roger, Rebecca, Patrick...be honest. Do you really think Jimmy would have said to his audience, "So, now we have a DOCTOR in charge of protecting us from terrorism? Hey – it worked for Dr. Suess – maybe it’ll work for Markwayne!"
Personally, I don't. Not in a million years. Why? Because no one would have found it funny, that’s why. Even though doctors are no more “qualified” to protect us from terrorists than plumbers are, Jimmy knows that doctors are widely respected in society, and that plumbers are not. He knows that medical degrees and doctorates are aspirational credentials, whereas plumbing certificates are not. The entire premise of his joke was based on a personal bias that he knew his audience shared – a bias that presupposes plumbers are uneducated, one-dimensional workers who never made it to college, and are therefore "unqualified" to do anything but plumb.
Jimmy is entitled to his opinion, along with anyone else who believes that Mullin is unqualified to lead the DHS. The Constitution, however, says otherwise, and so does the Senate. Likewise, reasonable people can disagree as to what is funny and what isn’t. Frankly, I couldn’t care less. What I do care about, is the extraordinary shortage of plumbers and electricians our country is facing, and the longstanding stigmas and stereotypes that continue to discourage people from considering a lucrative career in the skilled trades. Jimmy’s joke – and his audience’s reaction to it – is proof positive that those stigmas and stereotypes are alive and well.
PS. We have a lot of money set aside to help train the next generation of plumbers. Apply for a scholarship at https://t.co/vidLSYXCf6 Who knows? Could be the first step on your road to President..
For all of you bitching about @PeteHegseth firing the Army Chief of Staff during a war. The Army Chief of Staff is not in the chain of command. You know who is? Pete Hegseth.
