@fayecayt I think many people really found the privacy aspect important for later life with a career & making sure you’re always being appropriate and professional
@RockinRpn I totally agree with you, I learned a lot about new sites I have never heard of or used before. It was nice to learn of new things that are available for us to use!
14.3 (3) Due to the privacy settings and what can truly be online about someone, I will take that seriously and apply it with my social media profiles. I've already started deleting posts from years ago that pop-up on my "memories" page on Facebook #GNED1411
14.3 (2) I learned how important your online footprint is, how social media is used in so many ways for a variety of things (political, businesses, personal), and how social media has evolved throughout the years and how different it is now #GNED1411
14.3 (1) The most surprising thing I learned was how many social media tools there are and how exactly they work. The group assignment touch me a lot. Before that assignment I didn't know anything about a lot of the social media tools we researched #GNED1411
14.2 Live streaming on Facebook and Instagram will become more popular in the future considering how popular it can be even now. I think more people will use this as a way to get a point across to a large group of people in a quick way #GNED1411
14.1 social media will change huge for the future. So many things have already evolved with Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram.. With new technology in the future, things will be crazy. Also, the sad truth may be that people learn more from online #GNED1411
13.3 I believe social media and technology to be beneficial in the classroom. Many of my professors use YouTube to show us videos of things that happen, or of companies to give an overview of what they stand for which i find very helpful #GNED1411
@colleen_cheung Some of my high school teachers did this for us! Or committees that i was apart of like Student Council or my Prom Committee, the teacher would text the members to remind us to bring something in or that something was due! It’s a great idea
@fayecayt I agree with you on this! One thing I’ve used a lot is Google Docs to keep in touch with my classmates while doing a group project so we can all contribute to it!
13.2 Many of my professors post ‘upcoming events’ online for us so we know exactly when assignments are due or when tests are which i find helpful. Another thing I had once was a teacher sending text reminders about assignments and tests #GNED1411
13.1 Social media has a good impact on learning for sure. Something I use a lot for school is google docs to work on group assignments together. I also think it’s beneficial because you can have answers to questions instantly (google) #GNED1411
@fayecayt i have never had this in one of my classes but that would be awesome! I think that would be so helpful for students that may have the same questions and haven’t asked themselves.
12.3 Digital activism/advocacy using social media does make a huge difference in society. Majority of the world uses some form of social media so if things are being shared/posted, the messages will be out and many will be aware of it #GNED1411
