We perform PCI to improve blood flow and relieve angina. But even the best PCI leaves some people without perfect blood flow - despite "excellent" angiographic appearance?

What proportion of patients leave the catheter lab with positive physiology?

Amazing to see the agreement between this work and what we found on https://t.co/fearHNHrwh

[Dr Ricardo Petraco 🫀 @RicardoPetraco]

When we initially proposed it (@jerd10 @DrShaiSen @SukhNijjer and @JEscaned) some said we were wrong, nuts or dodgy. Resting physiology in the lab was “not a state to be achieved reliably”.

Now it appears that (surprise!) nothing is more stable than resting flow!

@CRT_meeting Sad to hear.

[Justin E Davies @jerd10]

@British_Airways lots of people are being held up on planes at Heathrow after long flights. Captain unable to contact ground staff or BA managers! This is totally unacceptable after at 10+ hr flight. Come on BA this is not the way to serve your customers.

Covid cases down 5 days a row in UK. This is despite opening the country up, when cases were climbing. This is the profound effect of vaccination. It’s great news for the world, providing high levels of vaccination can be achieved.

Congrats to @DrAllenJ @GreggWStone and all the DEFINE-GPS team for enrolling the first patients at St Francis Hospital in this landmark randomised control trial using iFR Co-Registration for guiding coronary revascularization decision-making. #defineGPS
