Back in 2018, there was a Gujarati guy sitting beside us in our flight, was settled in Kenya and was going to India for some function (we had a casual small talk about layovers and all).

I and wife preferred lamb curry in flight. When our food arrived, he didn't say anything, he just turned his face towards the window, didn't eat his food, didn't talk to us again in a 6 hours of flight. ડેપ્યુટી મેયર દક્ષાબેનને પૂછ્યું તો કહ્યું કે એમની એક દુકાન કપાતમાં ગઈ હતી એટલે સામે મકાન મળ્યું.

આવું ના હોય કે દુકાન ગઈ એટલે મકાન આપ્યું..
અને એ પણ કોનું તો ગરીબ લોકોનું..

હવે એક પછી એક અધિકારીઓને પકડીને પૂછીએ છીએ તો એમને તાવ ચઢી ગયો છે.

નિયમોનું ઉલ્લંઘન થયું છે.. કોઈ ગરીબના મકાનનો હક છીનવી લેવાયો છે.

ડેપ્યુટી મેયર પાસે તો બંગલો છે છતાં ગરીબ આવાસમાં મકાન કેવી રીતે મળી શકે ?
