@MethodistGB@CliffCollege I remember the May Bank Holiday conventions at cliff in the early 1970s. Camping in the wooden huts, which are unlikely to be there now!
Also the summer Derwent convention. Happy, formative days of my youth.
@leftywoke Really sorry to hear about your struggle. Is there an addiction support group or programme that you've found helpful in the past? Sorry if this is a blindingly obvious/ unhelpful question. Feel free to ignore. X
@VenitHiems It's definitely to do with water in my ears. I struggle to keep ear plugs of any sort in my (very small) ears! A lady at the pool said you can buy some kind of barrier spray which I must look into.
@VenitHiems @2ndchancept My mother, at 95 has at long last given up fat shaming me, and has gained some weight herself. Somehow, I manage never to mention it.
@VenitHiems It really is. Sadly I have a head cold and haven't been for over a week. Can't wait to get back to it- although I have been getting earache lately.
@VenitHiems Hope you managed it. I started swimming again about a year ago and aim for around 3 times a week. Fortunately these days I couldn't give a damn what I look like!
It's my exercise of choice; walking, gym work etc bores me.
