I don't understand why oldest and most used metro line in mumbai can run in debts! Isn't while public private partnership thing was supposed to make it profitable? MMRDA is board. Are they sleeping ?
Mumbai Metro Line 1: still running the exact same coach sets from 2014 while the debt quietly hit ₹4,500+ crore.
Restructuring deal dies, insolvency is back on the menu, and those much-promised 6-car trains that would finally ease peak-hour hell?
Permanently delayed due to “financial considerations.
Nothing says world-class transit like packing people in like cattle and calling it progress. 🚇🤡💸

@RailwaySeva@GemsOfRailway Why you need sender's mobile number ? It's just stupid. Fix your mismanaged and outdated freight system @AshwiniVaishnaw is this how our next generation frieght will look like ?
@KSAbhilash@gauravdixit_@ndtv@krishnabgowda@blrcitytraffic No it does not. Tram occupies more road real-estate and only realistic when no or very less road traffic like city center. What we need is better bus connectivity, last mile access till metro from inner banglore and metro for longer distances
A complete stranger slapped my teammate. I was next !
Today marks the day, almost a decade ago, when a group of 50 brokers attacked NoBroker. It was not the extent of the assault, but the surprise/shock of “Is it really happening?” What seemed like a local procession in front of our office-cum-residential house quickly revealed itself to be a group of people hell-bent on beating us and breaking computers/servers.
I ducked the next slap that was meant for me. When I tried to record it on my phone, it was quickly noticed by them. Our only saviour was the iron grill door through which we locked ourselves inside. Akhil and I had the look of “Ab kya karey?” on our faces. Next scene was us sitting in a police jeep going to the station, with brokers still continuing to create a ruckus at the office. We realised our complete lack of “connections,” with no IAS, IPS or politician on our speed-dial.
The day somehow ended, but the circumstances ensured that we had to vacate our office overnight and display “regret” messages on our website. Through the entire ordeal, somehow, it never crossed the minds of us three founders that NoBroker was at risk. Such is the power of optimism (or should I say misplaced innocence). Somehow, we struggled, the team grew stronger together, and we tried to survive one day at a time.
Today, after Rs. 1,000 crore+ of yearly revenue and after serving 4 crore customers and saving thousands of crores in brokerage, we can afford to reminisce about it as an “incident” that happened. What did it teach us? Perseverance, optimism, the power of compounding and, above all, the power of “never giving up.”

@Tukaram_IndIAS Next stop, street food. Argument that they are poor and should be left alone is not always right. We know so many of them are crorepati
@Tukaram_IndIAS Thank you sir... Please start checking onnsources of these restaurants too. Like paneer, ketchup, pickle they source from. Even while eating from reputed restaurants, people fell sick. No one complains because it's too much hassle.
More than Commuters #IllegalHawkers and Squatters will be keeping a keen watch on the progress of this piece of news, wishing for Skywalks FOBs Subways, for which in Mumbai they have a Right of Way..
@OsintUpdates@ANI please check actual video before just posting one-sided story. And mention atleast that investigation is ongoing. I know Video clips are not entire truth, So wait a little before sensationalise entire episode
The recent ban by BMC on feeding pigeons has to be one of the best decisions ever.
There should be no politics over this decision.
For once BMC decides to do something right and people start outraging.
@mybmc
@Pune24x7 With mumbai pune expressway in such dire strain? We need more high-speed railway link between pune / pcmc and mumbai. And ofcourse, feeder services to reach stations.
