@chalaaapudhe@thorat1974 @ThaneNeedsMetro HE residents are also at the receiving end of traffic and will be heavy users of metro. Let's hope that the metro comes up soon enough to alleviate everyone of chaos.
@InsideInfraa @ThaneNeedsMetro Very true but creekside metro will be equally nearer to TCS, Centaurus, other commercial buildings coming up. 100m of additional walk won't diminish metro benefits for masses
@ThaneNeedsMetro We want the station on Waterfront, not Regent. Waterfront links to the water taxi + new bridges for Estate 2, bypassing Regent congestion. That ‘jungle’ pic isn’t Thane, where’s the Centurus Business Park gate?in the picture ,Connect it. Waterfront is the future.
@ThaneNeedsMetro Path will be built. Creek side was original plan and is nearer to TCS, Centaurus and commercial hubs planned near creek. HE has 120+ buildings and no alignment makes perfect route. As long as it's small walk, metro will have utility. Most of HE residents will also be metro users.
@InsideInfraa @ThaneNeedsMetro CRZ had already approved and it was the original plan anyways before new route was proposed two months back. Flooding hasn't happened in this area so it's a safe zone. If flooding happens, it will affect regent street too.
@ThaneNeedsMetro @akshaywcam1 It's right on side of TCS, Centaurus and other commercial buildings planned near creek. HE has 120+ buildings and no alignment will make metro near to most building. As long as it's small walk, if will have utility. Most of HE residents will also use metro given pathetic roads.
@akshaywcam1 @ThaneNeedsMetro Very true but the new path is less than 100m away from congested area. It's not going to affect metro utility at all for all commuters to commerical establishments. Most of the HE residents will also use metro which will remain accessible to them.
@ThaneNeedsMetro Nobody is against metro connectivity or development. Residents raised concerns about traffic bottlenecks, pedestrian safety, emergency access, and impact on dense residential zones. Your own elitist nimbys will also be metro users as roads are in horrible state since ages.😀
@akshaywcam1@Dev_Fadnavis@MetroRailThane This was original plan anyways which is just 100m parallel to the new plan. This in fact helps avoid more congestion on already congested road without affecting public transport through metro. A welcome move.
