Like Hollywood has award shows that make Hollywood seem really important, AI has effects on "knowledge workers" (e.g. pundits) that inspire them to treat AI as really important. It's not *not* important; it's just not as important as the punditry see it and tell us to see it.

@ToddZywicki I'm at least for a diversity of payment systems, each serving different contexts. And if cc's aren't working for a retailer, tough luck, cc networks. Yes, fees added to cc transactions should be up-front. But really, deeply, who cares? Let competition rule!
