I am excited to share one of my postdoctoral projects from Xuanhe group, which took five years to develop our anti-fibrotic interface strategy and investigate the immune mechanisms behind it, now published in @Nature. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating on this exciting project with engineers, immunologists, pathologists, and clinicians. As a pretty cool bonus, MIT news spotlighted our work @MIT

Big thanks to @ProfZhaoMIT@HyunwooYuk@G_Theocharidis and Jue Deng, Tiffany L. Sarrafian, Leigh G. Griffiths, Roderick T. Bronson, Aristidis Veves and Jianzhu Chen.
Engineers found a way to eliminate the buildup of scar tissue around implantable devices, by coating them with a hydrogel adhesive. The material binds the device to tissue and prevents the immune system from attacking the device. https://t.co/HtNyGdWBNA
Honored to receive Postdoctoral Award @Materials_MRS, especially following incredible researchers. Thank you so much to my postdoc advisor @ProfZhaoMIT This achievement would not have been possible without the continued collaboration and support from @HyunwooYuk@G_Theocharidis
Congratulations! Join them at the #S25MRS Award Recipients—Lightning Talks and Panel Discussion

Great to meet so many current and former members of our Institute @Boccaccini_Lab@UniFAU at #CESB2024 "8th China-Europe🇨🇳🇪🇺 Symposium on Biomaterials in Regenerative Medicine" in Nuremberg🇩🇪
#CESB2024 was indeed a great opportunity for a big reunion! Thanks for all your support!
I am honored to receive the Uncas and Helen Whitaker Chair Professorship @MIT@MITEngineering@MITMechE@MIT_CEE. The Whitaker Chair Professorship will facilitate our mission of advancing science and technology between humans and machines for better health and sustainability.
Uncas Whitaker was a prominent mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, lawyer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. At the age of 41, he founded AMP Inc which would become the world's largest manufacturer of electrical devices and connectors. He left his fortune for the Whitaker Foundation to improve people's lives primarily by supporting Biomedical engineering research and education.
