Originally from New Braunfels, Texas, she graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in aviation education and worked as a civilian Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).

She joined the Air Force in 2016 through Officer Training School, completed her fighter training in 2018, and later flew missions while stationed in South Korea-where she earned her call sign,
"Rebel".

She took command of the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team based out of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, performing at air shows to showcase the jet's combat capabilities.
