Yesterday a freak accident ended with a bus doing full splits across the Lana river.
Today people voting overwhelmingly in favor of keeping the bus in its perpetual split pose as a reminder of the dangers of urban driving.
I am starting to think that it is somehow embodied in us the idea that by centralizing decision-making it is easier to solve complex problems involving groups of people. Even though, every time we try, we fail.
Our neighbors are from Kosovo and told us how they celebrate on the 4th of July in solidarity with the US. Half my street decided we'd return the favor and are flying Kosovo flags for their Independence Day today!
