Stepping into new territory and pushing boundaries with Van-Anh Vo last night At Zellerbach Playhouse. Rappin over Japanese Taiko drums and Vietnamese Zither was hella dope!
Mulling over the depressing likelihood that roe v wade will be overturned. @AOC sums it up. Welcome to the Handmaids Tale version of our lives ladies. 😭
Ah yes, the right wing: forcing people to give birth against their will while advancing policies that made the US have the highest maternal mortality in the developed world.
Then for after birth, they work to stop paid leave policy👍🏽
No wonder they need voter suppression to win

I love this so much. Joy and Sorrow do coexist everyday in the fight for justice. And our capacity to hold the complexity deepens and broadens too. Accountability today on the road to justice.
Today, a jury did the right thing. But true justice requires much more. Michelle and I send our prayers to the Floyd family, and we stand with all those who are committed to guaranteeing every American the full measure of justice that George and so many others have been denied.
This isn’t proof the system works. It’s proof of how broken it is. Because it took us this long, and this much attention. Until we have a world where our communities can thrive free from fear, there will be no justice.
Our struggle now is about justice—not justice on paper, but real justice in which all Americans live their lives free of oppression. We must boldly root out the cancer of systemic racism and police violence against people of color.
