Our @PrairieView_MS students and staff came together to donate nearly 1,200 items to @CAERFoodShelf to support those in need. We’re so thankful to have such a caring organization in our community and the partnership shared with our schools.
It’s a beautiful day in Otsego! Prairie View Middle School Staff are ready to welcome students and families at Open House tonight! @J_athman@jmenth22 @bittmand @isd728#ThankYouVoters
@JohnGerads@mrskalthoff@mrsherrbie Completely agree. I like the idea of QR code’s “unlocking” the next activity. Seesaw’s natural portfolio of work and using folders would help students look back at prior work. I also recommended something similar to a Google Site so students can publish work and share with peers
Help please. Colleague wants Ss to create ePortfolio of science work from grades 3-5 so Ss build a study guide for grade 5 MCA testing. Catch is, he wants to #gamify it by passing levels to gain the next lesson’s content & along the way Ss document learning on ePortfolio. Ideas?
@JohnGerads@KyleTurck742 This is awesome! I literally was wondering this morning about new features that will be created for next school year with all the positive feedback @Seesaw is receiving.
What better way to work on positive and clear communication skills than enriching #stem#teamwork activities?! @talahi742 Ss created @LEGO_Group marble mazes, @Hot_Wheels tracks, and straw structures. So proud of how all made efforts to be inclusive and kind.
@ProfCarlsonSCSU @000Dave@mrskalthoff @MrsJBurling @MuseMoore Typically use Kibo @KinderLabRobot and beebot with K Ss but have used Dot to teach sequences using colors and sounds. Also taught automation by programming loops with dot.
Always fun to record a #podcast with @CMLELibs ...this episode was enjoyable because of the practical uses discussed around #tech integration with #literacy and utilizing our libraries for a #makerspace https://t.co/k9GdcANpOD
One simple act of #kindness can make your whole day. I love the students @talahi742 and to be honest, it feels really good to be validated more from students than adults about the work I do. #KindnessMatters
@JohnGerads Elementary students love classroom jobs. Rotating through those jobs teaches responsibility and classroom communities. Ss also love being a class expert and teaching other students in an area of their strength.
