A traveled to the top of a Volcano in Hawaii to capture this: Saturn briefly covered by the moon. One of the most difficult shots I’ve captured and a bucket list moment, this event gave me a new perspective on the solar system.
I’ll have it available in print for a short time.
"In Texas, a woman whose water broke at 18 weeks—far too early for her baby to survive outside the womb—was unable to get an abortion until she became septic. She spent three days in the ICU, and one of her fallopian tubes permanently closed from scarring. In Tennessee, a woman lost four pints of blood delivering her dead fetus in a hospital’s holding area. In Oklahoma, a bleeding woman with a nonviable pregnancy was turned away from three separate hospitals. One said she could wait in the parking lot until her condition became life-threatening." https://t.co/5kGQpcWKRA
@ALuysterborghs@vanillaopinions Nothing. And I actually think Romney is a reasonably good person (who I'd likely never vote for). I just think it's funny that so many people try to reduce his rant to the blandest thing he said in the entire quote.
@ProfBZZZ@JamesSurowiecki Not how I interpreted your tweet, but yeah, this is probably true. A single candidate may never have received a majority of all eligible voters.
@ProfBZZZ@JamesSurowiecki A) false (about two thirds of voting eligible population turned out in 2020).
B) false (an even larger fraction of registered voters turned out)
Vice President @KamalaHarris is tough, experienced, and ready to lead this country. I know she’ll never stop fighting for ALL of us, because that’s who she is.
@jdcmedlock I mean, it's the same argument Republicans try to make when they cut taxes on corporations/rich. I think her version of "pays for itself" is gonna hit better though.
@magnumoppis@christoaivalis@GraphCrimes Still silly in that case because the majority of people who vote Democrat are not socialist (nor are they left of the party on average).
@SplitTicket_ There is another world in which the GOP is in real contention to win 56 seats rather than 52. The fact that they're not is a function of their own incompetence. There is no reason for Ruben Gallego to be a 3:1 favorite in a Harris +1 open seat, but here we are.
