DAY 4: Clinical Audit Awareness week
Our clinical audit heroes today are the Endoscopy team. This team get through a huge amount of audit work to produce evidence & assurance for their JAG accreditation and to improve services and outcomes for their patients.

Clinical Audit doesn't fit into 1 box as much as we'd like it to...
Is it for assurance? Sometimes, yes.
Is it for evidence? Sometimes, yes.
Is it for improvement? Where we can do better for our patients...ALWAYS!

To all the local #clinicalaudit professionals out there celebrating #CAAW23 this week. Don't undersell yourselves! You do amazing work and make a real difference to patient care and safety!
5/6“Jo Thornton & Cathy Rawson were extremely supportive & helpful through the CQUIN for cirrhosis and Fibrosis testing. Always at the end of an email if needed. Sent regular updates which allowed me to complete the Audit on time.”
Lindsay Horobin, Hepatology Nurse Specialist
1/6 Zero to hero!
Yesterday’s local hero was the Early Inflammatory Arthritis team who showed how to use audit data to improve services.
Today it's about using NHS England’s CQUIN scheme to do the same. @barnshosp @bobkirton @McdonnellSheena@TRFTCEO
The winner in the clinical audit category of the Clinical Audit Conference poster competition was created by Dr E Said, Kerry Darnbrough, Joanne Thornton, and Cathy Rawson of @barnshospital.

@SummerLanePS Mrs Welburn taught me at Keir Street and then my daughter Emma in more recent years. Wonderful teacher and we’ll be sad to see her leave. Wishing her a happy retirement x
@BHNFTCLAUDE@zoelowey@barnshospital Well done Zoe. Your dedication to quality improvement is inspiring to be around. I wonder what else you’ll achieve in the next 20 years!!
@KirstinEvans75 @SummerLanePS I know! 😂 Good day for our family. It made me a little sad that it’s probably the last time they’ll be up there together.
