🌠 This research provides insights into the dynamic processes shaping our galaxy's structure, highlighting the interconnected nature of stellar families. Kudos to the team at @univienna for this stellar discovery! #Science#Research#MilkyWay
These findings, published in @Nature, show these clusters come from highly active star-forming regions, with supernovae influencing gas distribution in the Milky Way. This groundbreaking work combines data from @esa's Gaia and @NASA's TESS missions. #Astrophysics#StarClusters
Mañana y pasado se celebra en la sede de @unedalmeria el 50 aniversario de @ObsCalarAlto

@stem_univie@ESO@univienna Thank you @stem_univie! And congratulations on your promising start. You are very much needed to spread the good work of @univienna STEM. These are the first steps of the VISIONS survey, more to come soon with the help of @ERC_Research ISM-FLOW advanced grant
Read the PR published by @ESO on the infrared atlas of five nearby stellar nurseries that give new insights on young stars and the stellar birth. 🔭 Lead author is Stefan Meingast of the department of #Astrophysics at @univienna: ⤵

“In these images we can detect even the faintest sources of light, like stars far less massive than the Sun, revealing objects that no one has ever seen before,” says Stefan Meingast, “This will allow us to understand the processes that transform gas and dust into stars.”
The atlas pieced together more than one million images, by using data from VISTA, @ESO's Visible and Infrared Survey #Telescope for #Astronomy. The result: reveiling new objects, that have never been seen before, to shed some more light on young stars in the making. ☁✨
@mac_perryman Very nice essay and the 127th of a brilliant series. Mandatory reading for all who want to understand the impact of @ESAGaia in Astrophysics. Regarding the Radcliffe Wave, expect more news soon. The local Milky Way is fascinating beyond all expectations.
