for no reason at all I will be doing a threat of my favorite demolished buildings in Los Angeles and what replaced them. Starting with...
The Bryson Block. Taken from us far too soon.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya ran one of Gaza's last hospitals. He refused to leave his patients even after Israel killed his own son in a drone strike.
Israel kidnapped him for it. 18 months in detention, tortured and beaten, for the crime of running a hospital.
He must be released.
Masked protesters fly banner atop Empire State Building.
The banner reads:
When the power of love
Beats the love of power
The world knows peace

Israel is pursuing “a deliberate strategy to destroy the future of the Palestinians in Gaza by targeting their children.”
The UN’s highest investigative body concluded today that an aspect of Israel’s genocide involves “deliberately shooting children in vital organs using precision weapons”
And arresting, torturing, and subjecting Palestinian children to sexual violence in detention.
Palestinian doctor Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, has been held in Israel for more than 500 days. No formal charges have been filed against him and no trial has been held.

It's so funny that these are real images. $14 million to clean the Reflecting Pool and it came out neon green. Republicans *lavished* praise on Trump for this.
NEW: Our visual analysis suggests the United States hit two drinking-water facilities overnight in southern Iran with precision-guided munitions. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime. w/ @ckoettl@johnismay@ArtemisChats
⭕️ REPORT | Israel has killed 978 Palestinians and launched more than 1,400 airstrikes and shelling attacks since agreeing to a “ceasefire” in Gaza
Israeli forces have carried out at least 3,189 ceasefire violations across Gaza since the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement was reached last October, according to a report shared by the Palestinian side with mediators and obtained by Drop Site News.
Sunday alone saw 10 armed field incidents, including attacks that killed at least 10 Palestinians and wounded 38:
🔹 Mohammad Mousa Abu Jiyab killed by Israeli warship fire in the waters off Deir al-Balah
🔹 Five civilians killed and 17 wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a police post in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis
🔹 Four civilians killed and 11 wounded in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle near Al-Buraq School in central Gaza City
🔹 A house bombed east of Al-Maghazi Camp after a prior evacuation warning
🔹 Injuries reported following an Israeli strike in the Al-Atatra area of Beit Lahiya
🔹 Israeli warships opened fire toward the Khan Younis shoreline
🔹 Artillery shelling east of Jabalia and central Khan Younis
Since the "ceasefire" took effect, 978 Palestinians have been killed — including 233 children, 109 women, and 29 elderly — and 3,063 wounded, of whom nearly half are children, women, or elderly. 83 civilians have also been detained.
Israel also continues to hold approximately 34 square kilometers beyond agreed withdrawal lines and has blocked repairs to electricity, water, and sewage infrastructure. Aid and movement restrictions remain severe:
Rafah crossing
▪️ Only 6,488 of 18,800 planned crossings carried out (~34.5%)
▪️ 88 individuals turned back at the crossing on the reported day
▪️Gaza’s Health Ministry says roughly 20,000 patients are awaiting Israeli approval to leave the Strip for treatment abroad, and that about 10 die each day while waiting.
Aid entry
▪️ Only ~36.3% of agreed humanitarian aid has entered — ~218 trucks per day vs. 600 agreed
▪️ Fuel deliveries at just 14.8% of required levels
▪️The WFP estimates 77% of Gaza’s population faces acute food insecurity, including 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant women suffering from acute malnutrition, amid what MSF in May 2026 described as a “manufactured malnutrition crisis.”
It blows my mind that liberal supporters of Israel still just write this stuff off like "yeah those guys are terrorists" and "I don't support that" and "most Israelis don't support this" when it's stuff you simply cannot do without the state tacitly allowing it.
Now The Economist is reporting about how the Israeli military grabbed Palestinians and used them as human shields
All of sudden the taboo against admitting all of the uncivilized Israeli behavior during the war has been broken
Zohran Mamdani believes in a one-state with equal rights for all its citizens; Smotrich believes in a single state where one people subjugate another. If you can't tell the difference between the two, its because tribalism has turned your brain into a horse's ass.
No matter how many times politicians say things like this it's impossible to be pro-a group committing genocide & pro-the group subjected to genocide. Anyone could see how illogical this is if it involved any group but Israel--as usual Israel is the exception & they play dumb
Why is it controversial for Zohran to skip a parade bc of his principles but not for Democratic politicians to march with a fascist bigot like Smotrich?
The genocide in Gaza continues, and there is no ceasefire. Netanyahu is openly announcing the military takeover of 70 percent, and ultimately all, of Gaza. Four more children in Gaza were killed by U.S.-funded Israeli bombs yesterday. No more excuses: Arms Embargo now.
