My hardware wallet journey.

1) Started with Trezor Model One; worked great and had functional software. Had to ditch @Trezor over the CoinJoin risks and to move to a Bitcoin only wallet

2) Upgraded to the @BlockstreamJade to support Bitcoin only companies, but had to rely on Green or plugging the Jade into a device connected to the internet to sign transactions

3) As my stack grew; so did my need to mitigate additional risk factors. Once again made an upgrade to the Jade Plus w/ Jade Link, Allowing for the first time to conduct completely air gapped transactions via a storage device.

4) While the Jade Plus was great and sleek, the navigation was tedious as was inputting all 24 words when recovering new PK’s. Finally made the upgrade to @COLDCARDwallet getting the Q. Lights out the best hardware wallet available.

In conclusion: Stay away from devices that support shit coins, ensure you have the capability to sign transactions air gapped, and always use open source software which can connect to your own node when broadcasting transactions.

The Jade Plus is great but at its price point, just get the ColdCard Q and call it a day.
