I’ve downloaded almost every budgeting app out there.
I quit all of them within 2 weeks.
So I started building my own. Here’s why, and what I’m doing differently 🧵
Hey builders 👋
Went from 0 to 60 followers in just a few days, and I’m really enjoying the content here so far. I want more of it!
So I’m looking to #connect with more people who are into:
📱 iOS & Android dev
💻 Full stack
🤖 AI agents & AI-powered apps
⚡ Vibe coding
🚀 Building SaaS
🛠️ Indie hacking
📈 Building in public
If that’s you, say hi and let’s connect! And if you’re building something, drop it below 👇 I’ll check out every one.
@fcuk112 Thanks! For vision I use Claude. The iPhone converts each receipt or screenshot to a compressed JPEG first, then Claude reads the merchant, the total, the date and the category and sends them back as structured fields (basic flow)
Just a week ago I had 0 followers and was talking to myself on here.
This morning I woke up to 200 of you, hundreds of replies, and so many cool projects in my notifications. I even got rate limited by X for replying too much 😂
Genuinely didn’t expect this. Thank you for the warm welcome, builders 🙏
Can’t wait to follow all your journeys. Now back to building 🛠️
If you’re building something, drop it below. I’d love to check it out and #connect with you!
@fcuk112 Just did, really like the flow! The “based on 105 recent eBay sales” line and the confidence score make the numbers feel more trustworthy ( breaking out profit after eBay fees is a nice touch too)
@fcuk112 Orbit is my iOS budgeting app. You snap a screenshot of your bank statement or receipt, and it logs your expenses for you, no bank login needed. Still improving it as I go

@fcuk112 Hi Frank, nice project and super clean design! Love the snap → AI resale value flow. Orbit works a bit the same way but for expenses 😄 Who’s using it most so far, sneaker flippers?
